Like My Thai is rapidly becoming my favorite restaurant in Erie. The service is friendly and helpful. When you tell them your food needs (vegan, etc.) they are able to suggest what is best for you. I love the Thai basil, I prefer it spicy, usually a 4 out of 5 on the heat scale. I asked if I could get it with noodles instead of rice-no problem. I have had it with other veggies substituted and again no problem. This restaurant is like watching an artist work, the owner pours so much of himself into what he does. Something I never thought I would say-try the tofu. It is smoked and dry and picks up the flavor of the dish, it, like everything about this place (including the reasonable price) itis a joy. Parking can be a pain, but I am so glad to have a restaurant this nice downtown.
Excellent atmosphere with exceptional service. Their signature pad Thai is very authentic with a grading from 1 to 5 on the hotness Richter scale I would recommend 2 to 3 on most items. The basil dish are freshly done over rice. They feature three types of curry the yellow more sweet the green and red Thai curry dishes I would recommend all them with your selection to be your favorite color. Also had a chance to try the homemade dumplings that were boiled with a fresh ground pork and then panfried. One of the premier Thai restaurants in the area that I would highly recommend therefore giving them a 5.0.
Pad thai was salty and soupy, lime wedge was dried out, and the starting soup and salad were bland and didn’t seem very fresh. The interior is run down. Prices are high. There’s delicious, more authentic thai food available elsewhere in Erie.
Great place! Im happy i tried it!
Delicious. I’ve only gone once and have been meaning to go back, I got the Pad Thai (level 2) hotness and it was perfect. Also got some chicken on a stick to share. Very tender and great flavor!!! The best thing was the leftovers the next day tasted just as great cold. Definitly have to make time to go back
Hopen for more Vietnamese Dishes. Had their version of banh mi sandwich, pulled ‘bbq’ style, is ok but I don’t think there were jalapenos/chilis on mine next time I’ll order with it, and toasted. In other cities for the same price you get a 30 cm long bun, but it was good. Kind of like ‘ taco bell’ of Thai food, basic thai-ish/like dishes, would like more aesthetic native dishes…They had only one or two Vietnamese dishes, hope they get lot more, no other place in Erie offers it. Need my kimchi…. We need a 100% Vietnamese restaurant in Erie….
Great food and vibe. Good choice and selection. Will be back to try some new dish. Good service too.
