I stopped for supper today, June 6, 2018 and after the meal I politely asked if they gave discounts for veterans and the waitress went back to ask the owner. She came back and said they give a 10%?discount but only if I could show proof of military service. Now normally I dont carry my DD 214 military discharge papers with me but on this day I had it with me. In a little while she came back and said that the owner doesnt honor official records and would only honor a drivers license with a flag on it. Now no one carries a counterfeit DD214 around with them to get a measly 10% discount but I gave her my drivers license and in a little while she came back and said that he would honor it. Now to get the flag on the license plate, all I had to do is tell the lady down at the license place that I had served and I never had to show proof. But to get a DD214 you had to serve. That is an official document! Had he asked me to recite my military serial number I could have given it from memory. All this hassle for a 10% discount? Thank you but this Vet can pay full price if I go back. The waitress was excellent.

This place is really good. Friendly staff and the service was pretty quick. I had the shrimp and grits and it didn’t disappoint. We ended with the white choc raspberry cheesecake and it was the perfect texture. Rich but not too dense. I wish I could have tried all the desserts!
