Went for breakfast with my husband and two kids. Chocolate chip pancakes were very good, my western omelet was tasty and the sausage gravy on my hubby’s plate was just right. The home fries are bland. I like the crispness but they didn’t seem to be seasoned at all. Best part, our bill came to $21. Place was large and clean on the inside, server was nice. Didn’t get a look at the lunch or dinner menu but its a nice breakfast alternative to Perkins
Staff was friendly and courteous! However the food was awful. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. Cucumbers were yellowing and slimy. Tomatoes were mushy and turning brown and I picked out a good bit of browning lettuce . Salad bowl was not clean. There was stuck on old food. We also had the appetizer sampler. Potatoe skins were burnt. I decided against my better judgment to order dessert in hopes that it would redeem my dinner somehow. Ice cream was delicious but the maraschino cherries on top were rancid. I bit into one and it was sour and tasted like it had been sitting out for months. Again, waitstaff was very prompt and kind but that’s not enough to merit a return visit in my book.
Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and attractive. Our food came quickly and was very tasty!
The food was ok I went here several weeks ago while my car was being detailed next door. Next time I will go to Sheets for a coffee.
AWESOME food! I got the steak with mushrooms and it was excellent – made just the way I ordered it. The Mac and Cheese was really good too. The prices were very fair. I’d choose to go to this place over the big chain restaurants. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Will definitely be going back!
Dinner on 01/04/2013. Absolutely delicious! The waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food was like having a home cooked meal with prices that were very reasonable. This was our first time visiting but it won’t be the last.
Love it. We just moved from Austin, TX, several month ago, and we have been going to the Starlight Diner since arriving in Hanover. The owners are very nice to talk to , the staff is great and the food is reasonable and good!
