A great experience. The food was well executed and the staff was friendly.I try to eat Thai at least once during every out of state trip I’m on. Was pleased to find this place and would definitely return if in the Harrisburg area again.The Larb Gai was enjoyable, with nearly perfect spice. Tom Yom soup was also a winner. The Drunken Noodles really let the oyster sauce flavor come through – though I like slightly less sauce and a little more char to my noodles. Panang had a wonderful richness and a good use of basil, but I was a little disappointed to not have any kafir lime leaves in it (still had a great flavor).As stated, the servers were very friendly. I felt they were attentive, but not overbearing. Overall, a wonderful little spot.
NOT accomodating to those who have gluten sensitivites. Bangkok 56 is NOT accommodating to those who have gluten sensitivities. My fabulous friends were all enjoying their very delicious meals while I ate my small bowl of plain steamed veggies. I asked if they could pour a bit of olive oil over my veggies but they didn’t think they had olive oil in the kitchen. I requested a simple meal with meat and veggies but they refused to serve me anything except the steamed veggies. It was an embarrassing and frustrating experience!
Love this place. So I absolutely LOVE this place. The service is great, the food is unbelievably fantastic. I have been to Thailand and the food at Bangkok 56 is just as good as food you would get in Thailand. The satay chicken is so good I wish my tongue tasted like it. The Pad Thai is amazing and the Thai tea is the best thing you will ever drink!The prices are not too bad. For two of us to have an appetizer and two entrees and two Thai teas, it was approximately $30. Keep in mind that you’ll probably not find real Thai food like this anywhere else close by. Also, read the negative reviews on here and other sites. Some people are so petty. One girl gave a bad rating because they called her out for being a cheap tipper. Well tipping is expected so that’s her fault. 🙂 Love love love this place and I recommend it to anyone interested in genuine Thai cuisine!

Possibly the best food in Harrisburg. Crispy Shrimp with Basil was flavorful and fresh. Egg rolls were possibly the best I’ve had. Pad Thai was equally good.
Outstanding. Spices were perfect. I definitely will start going here to eat.
