We have been coming here for years, as it’s close to home with an amazing gluten free menu (I have celiac). That being said, after years of my patronage, I will no longer be giving Grandma’s Grotto my patronage and money. The owner is super nice, however his daughters that work there are not. They have been rude to me since day one both on the phone when I’m placing an order, and when I go in to pick up. They act like their job is below them, they don’t want to be there. They’re always busy on their phones. You walk in and nobody greets you (unless the owner is behind the counter). I’ve gone in and stood waiting to pick up and order for over 5 minutes before someone even asks what I’m picking up. They have repeatedly messed our order… the order that we place exactly the same almost every single Friday night for over 3 years. I’ve bit my tongue on multiple occasions because my children enjoy the pizza (the non-gluten free pizza that is. Their gluten free pizza isn’t the best, but everything else is… esp the baked goods!), but tonight was the final straw. My husband called and placed our order. He was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I get there to pick up and the especially rude daughter was there tonight (my luck). Doesn’t look at me and asked if I’m picking up. I said yes. She asked my name (honestly she ahould know it. She knows me. I’m pretty sure she goes out of her way to be rude to me) anyway she goes in the back, then goes and gets her cell phone. Then says it’ll be 10 more minutes. I already came 10 mins late, so it’s been 30 minutes since we placed our order for one pizza. As she starts to walk away i asked why it would be 10 more minutes. She informs me my order was taken (by the owner) but then he left for the night and never made my pizza. No apology. Nothing. Minus you it’s already 7:30 at night on a Thursday and we had a very long day at home and I was picking up a pizza for my kids… I said never mind, I don’t need the pizza. She says ok. I leave. Get to my car and decide this is not okay..ive been a loyal customer for years. Problem in top of Problem, I keep going back. This was the final straw. I decide to go back in and ask for the owner (in case he came back for some reason). I asked if he was there and she said no, She had called him and he’s gone. With that I walked out and will not be walking back in. Which is actually extremely disappointing. Having celiac and being gluten free I am so so limited in what I can eat. This was the ONE place I could order chicken fingers, fries, a steak sandwich, chicken noodle soup, cakes and breads. If this was her intent to get me to stop being a customer, She won. I hope other customers are not treated this way. Especially weekly customers.

Great neighbourhood Italian!. The decor and location are nothing to write home about, but as a neighborhood Italian restaurant with a homemade flair, Grandma’s Grotto is one of the best we’ve ever been too. No, it’s not fine dining, but it is delicious dining. And if you happen to be on a gluten-free diet, the GF menu options will blow you away. Indeed, the GF menu is almost a mirror image of the regular menu. Friendly staff. The owner John and his wife are also very smart, coming out to chat with us and to make sure we were enjoying the dinner. We were visiting friends in the area who took us here. We may well visit them again soon, just to get back to Grandma’s Grotto.

Highly recommend. My wife is gluten intolerant, and we had heard about their gluten free menu and decided to make the 40 minute drive to Horsham. The first thing we notice was the Atmosphere. It was okay, but not Italian Fine Dining. Almost a pizza shop style atmosphere. However, the service and the food made up for the ambience. The app, food, and deserts were amazing and we definitely recommend it. Staff was great as well. It is a byob, so make sure you bring wine. Great place!

Go to Grandma’s Grotto. What this place lacks in curb appeal it makes up for in taste! The service was great & the food was delicious! They have designated friers (for us GF folks) & I can’t tell you how excited I was to have REAL chicken parmesan that TASTED like chicken parmesan! The portions are plentiful & my GF menu was just as expansive as my companions. Although I didn’t have room for dessert, I was told that their GF goodies are to die for! I will definitely be going back soon!
