I Really Don’t Like Kim Moon. Rating: 2/10 The old saying goes, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. So this is the second time I have gotten food from Kim Moon and it’s most certainly shame on me. The first time I got food from here I ordered sushi. It was mediocre at best and nothing like what sushi should be. But hey, I said I’d forgive ’em and try their Chinese food next time. So here we are. I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for my delivery of two small meals and I live 10 minutes away. I opened the bag to find the wrong size of sweet and sour shrimp (pint instead of quart, I’m still hungry), an order of greasy lo mein, and two fortune cookies. The lo mein was nasty, shrimp was ehhh, and the fortune cookie were stale.
Excellent!. Sushi is very good, Chinese food is also delicious. You are given large portions for Chinese dishes, definitely getting a good price at this place. If you eat in the restaurant you get free won ton chips and green tea before your meal! I have also received delivery many times and it comes just as it does in the restaurant. Over all, very nice place to eat!
Good. I ordered the General Tsao’s chicken combination meal for around 8 dollars and I love it. They give me a ton of chicken, an egg roll, and wonton soup. I’m not huge into the soup, but everything else makes up for it. The delivery guy is extremely friendly. I know some dishes do not give as much meat as others, so be careful on what you order.
Favorite. I haven’t been here in a few years. But, I used to eat here everyday. I have lived years of my life in East Asia, and, frankly, I consider Kim Moon’s General Tso’s Chicken and Hot & Sour Soup with Spicy Noodles to be the best Chinese food in the world!.I can’t wait to come back!06 Apr, 2012Favorite. Pleasant Surprise. My first trip here I wasn’t expecting much, but I was surprised. The food isn’t the best Chinese food you could ever have, but it’s CERTAINLY the best in the area, and it’s all palatable. The sushi is actually pretty good, which is shocking, really.They deliver, the food is reliably good, and they’re cheap. What more is there to ask?Pretty much my favorite restaurant in Indiana.
Not the Same. Kim Moon was purchased from the original owners about 7-10 years ago and it just isn’t the same. It used to be my favorite restaurant, the owners were Vietnamese and made delicious Pho as well as classic Chinese dishes. These days, the Chinese is passable but nothing special and the sushi has made me ill. I heard that the original owners moved to the DC area and I wish I knew if they opened a new restaurant.
