I brought my family into the establishment and I asked the waitress if they could make my daughter who is 3 years old a grilled cheese sandwich. Keep in mind that they had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the kids menu. The waitress went back to the kitchen and came back and stated that the chef said no. It is 2 pieces of bread and some cheese? After requesting the manager the kitchen decided it was not too much of a hassle to make her a simple 5 minute grilled cheese. After dinner our family was harassed by a bunch of belligerent patrons and management supported the belligerent women who were making comments about my three year old. Worst experience of my life! I understand that Jim Thorpe is a vacation destination but I live in the community and I spend the same amount of money if not more money in the the town then a bunch of belligerent patrons, and I have a right to go out to dinner with my family without being harassed!

We came for lunch after I saw they had a new chef & redecoration. Our server took a little while to come out. I ordered the spring roll appetizer that was hot, greasy & good! The server took away our plates & silverware without bringing replacements. My spouse had the crab melt with bacon on the side. The bun was not toasted and overall it was very bland. My Mediterranean salad was uninteresting and was delivered without dressing, bread or utensils. The server didn’t come back for a while, so I raided another table for a fork. When I caught her eye, she brought me oil & vinegar. Other than a fair tabbouleh, the salad was fresh & blah. A dessert of warmed chocolate cake was on the dry side and would really have benefited from whipped cream or ice cream. At $50, lunch seemed overpriced.
Great variety of food and amazing service. They gave my friend a free cupcake to make up for accidentally putting cheese on his sandwich!
It’s a gem!. Wife and I stopped there for dinner a couple of weeks ago. The menu was varied, the food was GREAT and the service was excellent. Nicely appointed dining room with a historical feel to it, very appropriate to the area. Server was very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Would highly recommend this establishment. Went back the next night to the bar for their live entertainment but didnt stay because it was packed (SRO), going to get there earlier next time!
We were visiting Blue Mountain for the weekend and were looking for a nice place to sit down and eat dinner..we drove the 10 minutes to this restaurant and it was totally worth it. The service/atmosphere was great and the food was even better. Highly recommend the quesadillas and their mac and cheese could quite possibly be the best I’ve ever had..we got the salmon and ny strip steak which were delicious..it’s also in a quaint (and safe) little area..would go back in a heartbeat!
My wife and I had breakfast and were not impressed. It seems that the menu is trying to hard to be upscale and did not deliver. If you don’t have the hotel voucher (which we did) and anything else is open (which it wasn’t), then go somewhere else.
