Service provided was not the best! Food was good, ordered pasta and had to ask to have salad when pasta was brought to the table and never received any bread! High priced food!
It’s good to be back!. God I love this place. It’s been almost a year since my last visit and I’m just absolutely spoiled by their cheesesteaks. I’m from VA and the old saying is so true. If you want a cheesesteak, you have to come up to the Philly area. Nothing else compares. My brother is a regular here and we brought mom up here for lunch to. Everyone had a cheesesteak. Well Mom had half a cheesesteak and took the rest home. We arrived just before the lunch rush and I don’t think we waited 15 minutes from the time we placed our orders until they were setting the food down in front of us.Service was good, we sat on the bar side, and our server stopped by regularly to check on us and keep the drinks filled. Another excellent visit. I can’t wait to get back up here later in the summer.24 Jan, 2014So Good To Be Back!. Wow it’s so good to be back in the Philly area and having lunch at Giordano’s. This is my first visit here since at least May of 2013 and I’ve been hankering for one of their Cheesesteaks for a long long time.We popped into the sports bar side around 1pm and found the place was still pretty full however we manged to get stools on the rounded bar. Drink orders were taken immediately and a moment later when the beers were delivered our food orders were entered as well. Our Cheesesteaks arrived about 10 minutes later, steam pouring off of them. No matter the crowd the food arrives hot and fast here. They know what they’re doing. I had some onion rings with my cheesesteak which were also pretty darn big for onion rings. All in all a reliable and delicious meal that I’ve enjoyed as often as possible since about 2010. As long as they keep making the cheesesteaks I’ll keep coming back.14 Nov, 2010I keep coming back!. I love this place and try to visit as often as I can. I was supposed to head back to VA on Monday but my brother and I stopped in here for lunch instead… Several large beers and a cheesesteak later and I took a nap rather than driving home.We always eat on the bar side of the building and the staff here, and food are always excellent! So what are you waiting for? Go! Go Now!22 May, 2010Great Cheesesteaks!. I’m visiting from out of town this weekend and told my brother I wanted to get a decent cheese steak while I was here. We ended up a Giordano’s for lunch. Giordano’s is a pretty large place with full restaurant on one side of the building and a sports bar on the back side.We arrived around 1:45 totally missing the lunch crowd and had the place to ourselves. There was a bartender and a waitress restocking the bar and our orders were taken immediately. We each ordered a cheese steak and in addition I ordered a slice of pizza. The cheese steak was awesome. It was about a foot long, cut in half, and full of meat, onions and cheese. Some fries filled the rest of the plate. While not the best cheese steak I’ve ever had it was definitely a very good one and hit the spot. I’ll be happy to have one of these again on my next trip up.The pizza was mediocre. At first glance it the presentation was nice however the best thing about it was the crust. It was definitely fresh. The sauce was bland and all but non-existent. Same of the pepperoni and cheese. It was cheap low grade stuff. Kind of surprising to me since the cheese steak was so top notch. The bartender and waitress were both exceptional. We had great service and good conversation with them and another patron that sat near us. Over all a great time and I’m looking forward to my next visit already.
The decor on the restaurant side is bizarre. I felt like I walked into the Max a la Saved by the Bell. Seriously update your look! The sports bar side was okay. I liked my mushroom soup. But my well done burger was literally burnt to a crisp. My husband liked his cheese steak. This place could be so much better. They should look at PJ Whelihans for inspiration with decor and menu.
We have been eating here for over 20 years. It is still our favorite restaurant despite many dozens opening up during that time. The food is always good and plentiful. It is fresh & hot when it should be hot & cold when it should be cold. The kitchen is immaculate. it is very consistent. You always know your favorite foods will taste exactly the same each time you returned. Their servers are always friendly. This child and family friendly and are open 7 days a week. What more can I say? The pizza is out of this world!
Hate to say it but we should have gone to Applebee’s down the road. On a Saturday night we were looking to have an inexpensive night out and have a burger and beers. There was no host to greet us, just a very unenthusiastic manager to seat us that seemed annoyed as people waited for a table. The service was equally bad. The restaurant is laid out similarly to an Applebee’s, the food is comparable and the service seems worse. I don’t know why this lot seems full all the time.
Come and enjoy the stromboli.
