Restaurant Impossible?. My husband, my 90 year old Mother, and I were given a gift certificate for the Bonefish Grill for Christmas. We are looking forward to an enjoyable evening out. We did not make reservations and did expect to wait a bit, but not over an hour after being told it would be 30 minutes. From about 30 minutes on the restaurant began to empty. As we watched people leave, leaving behind a sea of empty tables, we still waited. I went to the front desk to ask about our wait. The first time I was told people were still ahead of us. In the meantime we watched other people seated while we still waited for our device to go off. The second time I asked, I was told the kitchen was short staffed and backed up, but we were next. It would have been nice to know this information about an hour earlier. It was over an hour from the time we got our device before we were actually seated.About 45 minutes into our wait, I started to get very thirsty and went to the bar to get a glass of water. There was one person at the bar eating a burger. I stood there about 5 minutes waiting to be noticed by the bartender. She was at the other end of the bar, first cleaning and working, never looking up, and then chatting up and high-fiving another staff member (the manager?) before returning to her work, still never looking up. I finally gave up and sat down again. The only bright spot of our visit was Kayleena, the server. She was very apologetic and clearly embarrassed. She served our drinks quickly and took our order right away. Salads were delivered in a reasonable time and were good. Then the dinners came. My Mom enjoyed her soup. My trout and vegetable was just okay, the jasmine rice inedible. I could pick the whole thing up in one piece with my fork. It actually had a dry crust on the outside of it. My husbands tacos were good, but his French fries were too cold to eat. When we reported the meal issues to the server she offered to replace them or give us something different. But by then we were ready to move on. We ordered 3 Crme Brule. They would have been better had they been more freshly made. They had been in the fridge long enough to begin separating on the bottom. For $7 each, fresher was expected.The server told us she had gone to the manager with our concerns and he/she had offered 25% off our meal. Considering how disappointing this experience was; the unexplained waiting and then the issues with the food, 25% off was pretty insulting, but we accepted it because we were worn down and just wanted to go home.Its almost the end of our saga at the Bonefish Grill . . . My Mother had to visit the ladies room before we left. The handicapped stall was unusable, the top was taken off the toilet tank and sitting on the toilet seat. I had to park her walker and she had to use a narrow stall. The floor of this stall was covered in toilet paper which we had to peel off her shoes before leaving the restroom.Think well be going back? I dont think so either.Some advice for the manager; Be up front with your customers, in person. Man-up and dont make your staff apologize and make excuses for poor management. If there are issues, YOU should be the one out front apologizing to the customers. People are usually pretty understanding when they are treated like theyre important. 25% off is a discount-coupon not compensation for a disastrous performance.
Aahhh Tuna. Enjoyable dinner. The ceviche tasted light and refreshing. I always like the bang bang shrimp. I tried the blackberry red sangria. It was very tasty and smooth, but didn’t have a distinct blackberry flavor. I also tried the pineapple martini which was delicious. I love a salad, but other than the heart of palm in it I did not find it anything out of the ordinary. I had the pretzel-crusted ahi tuna which melted in my mouth. It had just the right amount of cabernet mustard sauce on. It was a perfect portion so I didn’t feel overly full.
At first I truly enjoyed this restaurant, until tonight were we had to wait two hours to get a seat for me and my girlfriend! I enjoy their food but as for managing and service is concerned this is a horrible establishment. We almost left after two hours and verbally discussing our concerns, but our buzzer went off then we had to wait an additional ten minutes until we were seated and watched other couples seated before us. The manager was with the hostess and witnessed this whole event and not even apology. I will never eat here again

Great Food. I read some of the other reviews here and was surprised that they were not not all 100% positive. We had a great experience and great food. Would return again. The only change I would like to see is the option to make a reservation online on their website.
Excellent!!. We really loved the bang bang shrimp! Best appetizer we’ve had ever!! The crab cakes were delicious and the orange doughy was perfect. Our server George was very knowledgeable about the menu. He knows what customer service is!!! Their Texas teas were yumnh. We will go back!
Went here for my 5th Anniversary to try a new place ! Food was delicious and HOT !!! Service was great! I can’t complain about anything except I should have tried this place earlier … My meal here was cheaper than the one I got at another place earlier this week . And I’d say my meal was better too!!! Will be back!!
