One of the best meals I’ve ever had — anywhere in the world. We went for a birthday celebration and everything from cocktails & appetizers to entrees & complimentary dessert were exquisite. Especially outstanding was the filet, the lobster Mac & cheese, and the oysters Rockefeller. You will never find a better quality filet mignon. Also truly outstanding service. Lancaster’s finest dining & worth every penny.
My husband and I decided to try Carr’s for Valentine’s day. We cannot say enough about the excellent service and food, and the wine list was an added bonus. The atmosphere was perfect and friendly, and dessert was divine! I would absolutely recommend Carr’s to anyone looking for a special dining experience!
Three words – fried oysters rockefeller. The oysters in absinthe and creamed spinach and wild mushrooms are to die for!
Best in Lancaster City. As a 10 year transplant from Philadelphia, My wife and I have always enjoyed our meals at Carr’s. Tim Carr is a wonderful man and an excellent chef. Our favorites include the Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad with fried tomatoes. It can also be served with garlic shrimp instead of chicken. We go to Carr’s often and alway find an interesting new appetizer to try. Our last trip found us trying Fried Oysters Wellington served in an absinthe type sauce with crimini mushrooms. Carr’s crabcake is the best in Lancaster and I ave tried them all. The wines served by the glass are always unusual and from unexpected wine regions. You cannot go wrong at Carr’s.
Good Food, Good Service, A Bit Pricey. I do enjoy Carr’s. I love the Caesar Salad with Seared Tuna, and that is my favorite dish to get at lunch there. I’ve also had the Curried Vegetables for dinner, and they had just the right amount of curry in the dish, too. Crush’s Wine Bar is a great a place to gather with friends and they have a wonderful selection of good beer for those of us who do not drink wine. Only complaint, the prices are rough on the wallet.
I like eating at the bar. (Don’t care so much for the dining room.) The food is terrific, but I usually get the pasta chicken Caesar salad… good stuff.
Had a Sunday brunch with the family. The food was very good. Good service. Prices were a little high…
