The greatest thing about the Horse Inn is that they use all local ingredients to make their amazing homemade food! You will notice the price difference and that it seems a bit expensive, but quality ingredients do cost a bit more. Plus, don’t forget that you are supporting many local businesses when you eat here
Pass this one by. Locals and travelers, do yourself a favor. Pass this one by! Although the building’s atmosphere is a 10, the pain of the drafty and cold interior is second only to the restaurant’s uninspired and overpriced food.
Nice quiet romantic setting off the beaten path. Excellent food and service. A bit pricey but well worth it!
Steep Stairs. Food is good, but it’s a real climb to get to the restaurant. If you can’t do steep stairs, this isn’t the place for you.
Exceeding expectations. I’ve only been here twice, but I’ll be back. The recipes and techniques are time-honored and honed. The tenderloin tips (house specialty) are fantastic. They surprisingly good, even in a salad (I’m not the biggest salad fan). The real surprise was the Black & Tan chicken. It wasn’t what I expected, but far better! The chicken was cooked perfectly and plated beautifully. But the proof was in the eating–absolutely wonderful flavors! Two dishes in one, really. Highly recommended. The location and setting are unique–unconventional and rewarding, like finding a great pub tucked away in a back alley of London. You will be rewarded for your efforts. If you can find The Horse Inn, it is well-worth the climb up the stairs.
Very disappointing. We used to really like this restaurant. First time back in over ten yrs. Price is high but food didnt live up to the price. Waitress half-slamming food onto table. Sadly, wont be going back anytime soon. Way overpriced for portions and quality.
Old style steak house with a menu that features meat, meat and meat with a side of meat. Great service and great no frills food.
