Love it. I don’t like it. I love it. I’ just talking about the dining area. Their wait staff is so completely aware of the evening’s specials which are always enticingly prepared with quality of taste. The dining area is small but tastefully decorated with a hint of intimacy. It’s cozy. The staff is consistantly good natured and appear to be very interested in your satisfaction level. I don’ go often but my visits stretch over 25 years and no place that I know of in Lancaster can match their consistancy of outstanding service and food quality. Parking is difficult, but the evening is worth it. One couid easily fall in love with everything about it.

Horrible!! Food was not good. Unable/unwilling to adapt to personal request. Staff is charming and tries hard. Food is lagging behind changing Lancaster scene. Disappointing experience. No plans to return.

Unique little place with character. Little pricey but the food was very good. Worth the time and money for a night out with my wife.

Great Food. Ate there last night (5/18/13) for teh first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I had the Duck breast and Burrito’s. The Duck was cooked in a wonderful sauce. Although I prefer my Duck cooked a tad bit more , it was still very good and tasty. The Burritos were a surprise. We had never had smoked salmon & goat cheese in burritos before. It made for a very delicious and enjoyable burrito. They have a reasonable selection of beers (I’m partial to reds like Killlian’s which they had none). But if you like the lighter beers & pilsners they have a good selection. The desserts were tough for me – having to choose between killer chocolate dessert topped with Grand Marnier & orange slices; Bourban Pecan Pie; and Louisianna Bread Pudding warmed and topped with a bourbon sauce. I finally decided on the killer chocolate with Gran Marnier. Fabulous!!! My wife had a KGB coffee with Kahlua, Gran Marnier, Brandy and whipped creamThe service was very good – cheerful waitresses and Barmaid made the atmosphere even more relaxing and enjoyable. They feature a number of local artist’s paintings hanging in the dinning room for sale which adds to the ambience. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience. I will most likely have dinner there again.

Pssst….. Jethro’s has long been a secret held closely by diners in Lancaster city. Tucked away in an unassuming corner in the West End of the city, you’ve probably driven by it numerous times and never noticed. Perfect! Or is it? This is the dilema that one must face: do I shout from the rooftops so everyone knows or keep it to myself and enjoy not needing a reservation?Ambience: the front room offers a bar and several booths. Diners can relax here with well-mixed drinks and the locals. It is a warm, friendly atmosphere. No loud music, no forced laughter, no flair needed. It is very inviting. The back room offers tables with seclusion, privacy and a bit more of a formal feel. Still relaxed and never pretentious.Food: It is a rare case that I can honestly say that I have NEVER been disappointed by a meal at a restaurant. I’m usually ridden with diner’s remorse. This just has never been the case at Jethro’s. I’ve tried a number of their entrees over the years and each one has left me pleased with my choice. The ingredients are choice, fresh, and often prepared with a slight twist on the norm. Even their burgers are not your traditional burger. The soups are ever-changing and always delightful. Appetizers are surprisingly good, too (try the calamari!). Desserts are simple and satisfying.Service: Attentive and informative without being overbearing–the way staff should be.Jethro’s offers what everyone truly wants: a relaxed neighborhood bar & restaurant with fantastic food at a fair price. What is not to love?
