My husband loves it here. I on the other hand had a bad experience and I would not recommend this place for anyone with food allergies or picky children. They were NOT AT ALL accommodating of my food sensitivities. I am nursing my 5-month-old son and cannot have dairy or soy because of his protein intolerance. I even planned ahead by looking up their menu online. I ended up with just sides but I could’ve dealt with that if the service had been better. The answers to my questions were curt and made me feel like I was a huge waste of time. All I heard while ordering and asking questions was nope, nope, nope. The waitress made one suggestion which ended up still having soy in it. Maybe they need to become a bit more flexible with their sparse menu.
Oh. My. Jeebers.. SO GOOD. We were searching for something interesting to go to and we FOUND it! AMAZING food, charming atmosphere within a building with much history, and awesome people running the joint – absolutely nice and helpful.I had the breakfast special omelet. – smoked salmon, goat cheesr and spinach with 7-grain bread and potatoes. My boyfriend had the chiliquiles – we shared and loved both!! A definite recommend for both visitors and locals!!

ON ORANGE is ON THE BALL!. WOW! Every time I eat at On Orange I am impressed with how quickly food is brought to the table. It’s hot, it’s yummy, and it’s more than good sized portions. What’s best about On Orange? I can order breakfast ALL DAY!. Who hasn’t had a day where the proverbial cloud is hanging over your head. I have your immediate remedy – go to On Orange and order breakfast at NOON!The staff is casual, yet efficient and polite. The owner is amongst the staff – so don’t be surprised when she delivers your food or checks on your coffee. The ambiance is eclectic but clean and put together. I love the counter & funky bar stools. Or sit in the huge window and watch the Lancaster life go by. A restaurant that’s part of Lancaster’s impressive Gallery Row – you’ll want to be in this neighborhood forever. Everyone is friendly and so much to do within walking distance.I can’t wait for my next breakfast (or lunch) at On Orange… maybe pancakes this time!

I have tried many restaurants in the downtown Lancaster area, but never quite noticed On Orange which is nestled behind an unassuming storefront on Orange Street not far from Central Market and all the hot spots. I was taken there for breakfast by friends recently and was pleasantly surprised. The Chilaquiles is a breakfast dish consisting of ground chorizo in sauce topped with avocado and fried eggs. It was delicious, though the portion was a little small for the price. Breakfast also comes with fantastic, fresh buttered multi-grain bread, which I had to order an additional piece of.While the food is a little on the pricey side, I would recommend stopping in for a quality breakfast.
