Pour is one of the many really interesting restaurants that opened since I moved from the Lancaster area. Given the good reviews online, I decided to go there for brunch when I was in town. The restaurant is located around an art gallery, with the entrance way being in a well designed, charming alleyway, which contained outdoor seating. With the outdoor area being full, we were seated inside. The interior of the building was just as nice with a vintage exposed brick and wood decor. We ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate, which consisted of the house-made lamb terrine, as well as a couple of other meats and cheeses, served with house mustard, fig jam and fresh baguette. Everything was really delicious, especially the Epoisses cheese from France. While some of their brunch entrees looked good, I went for an ala carte selection of sunny side up eggs, house made breakfast sausages and the grits made with bloody butcher (red) corn. Everything was spot on — Simple, fresh and delicious. I am normally rather unexcited by grits. But these were creamy, slightly garlicky, and surprisingly outstanding. My companions tried the Vanilla Bean Pancakes and the Deep Fried Brioche French Toast, and were pleased with their selections. My Bloody Mary was fresh and perfectly spicy, coupled with a refreshing pilsner sidecar. I would most definitely like to return to try their dinner menu.

My family recently dined at POUR. We ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate which was thoroughly enjoyed. It would have made it easier to serve if the meat had been sliced and rolled separately instead of 3 slices rolled together. Our entrees were deliciously creative. My only other suggestion would be for the waitresses to not underestimate their patrons. We may live in Lancaster County, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t crossed the pond. Thanks for bringing a great experience to Lancaster!

Atmosphere is decent but the food is horrible. The steak was over cooked, the sworfish was raw and tasteless, and duck fries burnt and too salty.

40 Minutes to Pour a Drink. I’ve been to Pour three times. And on two of those occasions it’s taken over 40 minutes from ordering cocktails on the menu to actually receiving them. I’ve received all food within 15 minutes of ordering but ordering ordinary cocktails off the menu shouldn’t take that long. One of the people in my party ordered a half glass of wine, after waiting 25 minutes we decided to cancel the order and ask for our check since we were ready to go at that point and had no idea it would take that long to (pour) a half glass of wine. After paying for our bill and standing up to leave the half glass of wine arrived… I want to like this place but at this point I would rather go elsewhere.

I was a little disappointed. We ordered a variety of meats and cheeses. I quite enjoy tapas, and frequent establishments like Pour regularly, but the portions were extremely small, and the favor were neither bold or lasting. The wine list is limited to more common varieties and the wait staff although pleasant, was not very knowledgeable. The saving grace was the chocolate and strawberries. It was a very balanced combination of sweet and acidic, with textures that not only mixed well but were very much fun to play with.

Like it, but very expensive with tiny portions. I realize that the menu is based on a tapas dining experience with appetizers and the wine list being the emphasis, but the prices are what you would pay for a full meal at an expensive restaurant, so when the food arrives, one is stunned by the tiny portions. The quality is fabulous and the atmosphere fun and trendy, but be prepared to empty your bank account for the experience. I would recommend this place but would also advise to eat at home first and then go there for snacks and drinks, otherwise you will leave hungry.
