Great service, great sushi. I always have to find new places to eat sushi when I travel. I stumbled onto this restaurant by accident. The atmosphere is good. I at at the sushi bar so it was quiet. I had the Lancaster Roll and Spicy Tuna roll. Both were fantastic in quality and taste. I would absolutely recommend Ichiban to others.
I have not been to Ichiban in a long time, but went last night for sushi. The service in one word was horrible. I am not sure if they understand what a dinner out is supposed to be because our server literally hovered over our table. We felt completely rushed and unwelcome. The server had to be reminded to bring our appetizer. They have two types of wines house and another brand and when I asked what the house wine was she had no idea. There were three people trying to figure it out. The server stood by the sushi bar next to our table while we ate. She brought the bill and my husband and I were having a conversation it was Friday night after all. The server again was standing close by so my husband literally said here since you seem to be staring at us and she was clueless. I think we were there a total of a half an hour and it was a horrible experience. I was very disappointed and would not recommend for someone who wants to enjoy their experience or have a date night. I really do not think they got it when I told the manager it’s a shame because we will not be going back.
Have had better. I’ve been to other Ichibans before and loved them, but this one just didn’t do it. You have to pay extra for fried rice when you get a hibachi meal, and the portions were smaller than other ones that I have been to. I was so excited to go, but left unsatisfied.The Ichiban in Williamsport is much better quality and food for the price. From now on when in Lancaster and wanting Hibachi food, we’ll go to Tokyo Diner instead
I’ve tried lots of sushi places in and around Lancaster and this place is by far the best! We are now regular customers. I have never been disappointed by the chef yet and that’s saying alot.
Dishes were worn around the edges. Plastic glasses didnt look clean around the tops. Hibachi chef used too much butter and oil on everything. Disappointing.
Great Chef. I’ve been to a number of Hibachi restaurants in the area and the chefs at Ichiban are the best around. They do all of the standard tricks and the food is perfectly prepared. The atmosphere of the restaurant is friendly, clean and entertaining for the price. I’d definitely return to Ichiban.
Great food. I’ve never left hungry and always had a good experience. I’ve been happy with both the sushi and the hibachi.
