Great Food with Southern Flare!. My husband and I ate at Sloppy Janes last night for the first time and we LOVED it! My husband is from the south so seeing PO’ BOYS on the menu and catfish, crawfish, oysters, (even alligator) was so exciting for him. I had the Sloppy Jane’s Pork BBQ signature sandwich— THE BEST PORK BBQ I’VE EVER HAD!!! Everything was delicious and the owner, Brian, was super friendly and talked with us for more than 15 minutes after we told him it was our first time there! We also met some locals that had been going there for years and love it too. Friendly people, great food, and the prices are just right! We will definitely be back!
Great sandwiches. This place is right down the street from me and if I’m looking for a good sandwich at a good price I stop at sloppy janes. Everything is fresh and they’re homemade soups are phenomenal. The service has always been prompt and courteous. There are no frills just good food and good value. Try the muffelatta and the key largo seafood soup. Also the hundreds of hot sauces are interesting to admire
A venue that bills itself as serving New Orleans staples should also provide a bit of southern charm and hospitality. Well you won’t find that here. The food is good, the local ugly and the owner gruff and without people skills. If you are craving gumbo a Po’ Boy or some jambalaya; call it in and get it to go.
