The Amish Farm Feast should be renamed the best fried chicken ever because really that’s all I remember from it. Once I bite into a crispy friend thigh I forgot about everything else and wanted more fried chicken in my mouth. I do vaguely remember the Egg Noodles with Browned Butter because they reminded me of dinner at my Nana’s house, but that chicken there’s no denying it it was delicious. I remember the pie too, I thought I hated shoo fly pie but I was forced I mean dared into trying the Wet Bottom Shoo-Fly Pie with some vanilla ice cream and that put me into one of the best food coma’s ever. If I ever make it back to Lancaster County Plain & Fancy is somewhere I will always stop just for the fried chicken and shoo fly pie.

Expected much more, food was good but nothing spectacular. It was also slightly on the higher side. We wanted to experience Amish style buy this was not as much .16 Sep, 2012I think it is overrated and pricy. We went there after the reviews we read, we went for the family style so we could try different items. The food was not bad but maybe we expected something different. For the ambience, think its slightly on the higher side…..

TRADITIONAL FAMILY STYLE A LL YOU CAN EAT. Just a few of the highlights were the fried chicken, roast beef, chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes and corn. A large assortment of desserts followed. Go hungry because they will bury you in food.

Solid PA Dutch Meal. I got the turkey and gravey and they were very good. My girlfriend got the fried chicken and that was very good also. Mash potatoes were great!

Get there early. The hours say open till 8 but if you get there at 7:30 be prepared to be rushed out. Smorgasbord was shut down by 7:30. Turkey dinner was fantastic and oatmeal pie was great.

Very nice atmosphere with very good northern country food. The service was so so and didn’t seem to be in the best of moods. However we would return again

This place is amazing! It really is a good country cooked meal. They have regular dining and then a smorgasbord. I like the regular dining because more sides are available but the smorgasbord is a quicker wait and all you can eat fried chicken! I did the a la carte dining and ordered the country fried chicken and fries and it was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. Go there!!!!
