Really like Azul, neighborhood place, good drinks, atmosphere good, BUT the black beans are now smashed and the Spanish rice is dry, please add moisture to these items. The wait staff are very helpful, the kitchen staff are a little loud!
Charges for chips!. I have eaten at HUNDREDS of Mexican restaurants in my life and have NEVER been charged for chips and salsa! The insult was that the chips were bits and pieces, as if I got everyone’s leftovers. They looked and tasted like the oil they were cooked in was old. The $12 margarita tasted good and had a kick. Just remember, when the server casually asks if you’d like chips when she takes your drink order, they’re gonna be on the bill! How embarrassing for them. Everything else was underwhelming and bland. Maybe buy the chef a salt shaker? Good luck Azul, you’ll need it!
Margarita were amazing. Food was bland. Ordered a shrimp burrito and had two pieces of shrimp and all black beans with crunchy over cooked rice. We are out of towners and saw this restaurant in passsing. Horrible food good atmosphere. The queso dip was chunky and not mixed. I would not recommended this.
Worst food. Been there 3 times in the last 6 months. Every time I swear its the last. Last time. Me and my girl felt awful after eating the fajitas. Margarita she had was super sweet. Too much syrup. Go to franklin inn
I have to agree the owners/manager never approached our table when we sent all 3 meals back. Two were made incorrectly and all 3 were cold. Not to mention that we waited patiently for over an hour. The prices are high, food inconsistent , and management needs to learn how to be appropriate . Best part of meal- guacamole, however it was not made at our table this night.
Tableside guacamole was wonderful. The Mahi Mahi tacos were delicious and the shrimp enchilada was outstanding. The shrimp were grilled to perfection. I’m so glad we went despite the poor reviews! We were there on a Tuesday evening though so we didn’t have any problems with crowds or wait time.
The meat was the only good thing, rice was over cooked, beans were over cooked as well, the tortillas were heated on the microwave oven, service slow, being Mexican I can say this is the worst Mexican restaurant I have been in, try el Patron or Emiliano’s, they are way better
