Come here regularly and really enjoy it. I have my favorites on the menu, plus I indulge in the desserts frequently. The bar menu is decent, not crazy, pretty standard. I mostly enjoy the conversation with the other regulars. It’s a great atmosphere.
Awesome Comfort Food!!!. I recently ate at the Blue Moose and tried the Adult Mac and Cheese…and thats exactly what this was, a grown-up version of Mac and Cheese. It was baked and full of flavor- yummy bleu cheese, white cheddar and gruyere melted together in perfectly cooked pasta and topped with a buttery bread crumb…OMG!!! My date had the Crab Cakes (which I’ve had before)…crab meat on crab meat…no filler, a rare gem! Everytime I’ve eaten here I’ve been impressed, it’s difficult to find good food, a good portions, and a good price…and it’s home-made!!!???!! All I have to say is WOW!!! The servers are eager to suggest their favorites, or new items/specials, or popular menu items. Save room for dessert, because the owner makes those here too!!!!05 Aug, 2012Yummy!. The owner makes all the desserts from scratch! The hummingbird cake is amazing! They changed the menu a little bit and added some new items. Love the chicken cubano. The bartenders and wait staff are so sweet. I could eat the braised short rib sandwich every day.
Our Favorite Place in the WORLD!. OK, over-statement but we love it at the Moose. The food is consistent and delicious even tho we order the same thing every time. The bartenders and staff are awesome (especially Betsy) with just the right amount of sas! Amanda makes her self available for some quick conversation and is the heartbeat of this bar. With plenty of regulars and just the right amount of passin’ thru types this place is a 10!

Disappointed!. I should have been forwarned when I called to make dinner reservations for a small birthday party and was told they no longer take reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. Got past that and asked if I could bring a birthday cake. The girl said I could but there was a plating fee so I said it would actually be cupcakes and she said they would still charge the plating fee for storing them in their freezer! I asked if there would be a fee if I just kept them at our table until we wanted to eat them and she said no but hesitantly. Get over yourself – you’re a sports bar not a 5-star restaurant. So onward to the night of the dinner. Surprisingly we were able to get seats on the deck but then again, maybe not so surprisingly because the place was half empty. I expected more people there since it is supposed to be a sports bar and thought more people would be there to watch the olympics. I ordered a bottled beer and had to ask twice for a glass. We all ordered from the sandwich menu and none of the sandwiches were hot, plus the ciabatta roll that came with mine was rock hard around the edges as if it had been microwaved. The other people said their rolls were fine and the meat in all the sandwiches had good flavor, but mine was supposed to have Swiss cheese and came with cheddar instead. Also the chairs were horribly uncomfortable and so low we felt we were sitting on the floor. The best thing about the entire meal was dessert – the white chocolate lemon cake is out of this world. I decided against taking our own dessert as I was not confident I wouldn’t be charged some kind of made up fee. But overall, definitely would not recommend this place and we won’t be going back.
Great. This place was a great find. The chili is good and so is the clam chowder. The wings are decent and the short rib sammich is to die for. Their meatloaf has great flavor and the mashed potatoes are good as well. The Crab cakes are good too.Their captains punch is awesome!
Great Atmosphere!. Love sitting on the deck! Not all the food is amazing, but enough is that this is a return place for me (5 times already).
