The food is fantastic….but bring a snack because the service/food prep is incredibly slow. We came here from Philly to visit family and we heard good things about this restaurant. The food was very impressive for a small town restaurant. However, we were there before the dinner rush and it still took over an hour for the salads to come out. It took over an hour and a half to see our dinners. Let me just point out again, the restaurant was not busy. Less than half full. This place would never cut it in the city. No one I know would wait an hour for a salad. Had I been in the city, I would have walked out and gone to a place next door. It is really a shame the service is so slow….because the food is really quite good!
Worth every dime and worth every minute!. Everything was as good as could be. My only regret is not going earlier.
Lunch service. The service needs improvement. When the waitress came to the table, she appeared annoyed when we were not ready to order. We asked for a condiment, she delivered it after the meal was finished. She suggested french fries to go with the burgers. The fries were not only cold. They appeared to have been cooked and then, put back into the fryer as they were dark brown and very greasy.
A Nice Place. This is a nice place, it is a little pricey but sometimes that’s a good thing. Nice atmosphere, but it’s a little tight because is always crowded. Wonderful baked breads Their ahi tuna is awesome, One of the best i’ve had. Their scallop corn chowder (when they have it) is also very good.
Avoid lunch unless you have all the time in the world. Horrible service for a soup & salad buffet.
Great Resturant! Greater Food!. My wife had her bridal shower at Fire and Ice and it was excellent! I was lucky enough to have had the leftovers :-)Everything went off without a hitch and the Bride was very happy. Thanks… because you know what happens if the bride is unhappy. My favorite dish is the Pot Roast… WOW.
Finally!. We’ve lived in the Back Mountain for over twenty years. As such we have seen many restaurants come and go. When Fire and Ice opened their doors we were excited and hoping for the best. They certainly haven’ t let us down. We’ve never had a bad meal there. The service has always been top shelf. It’s apparent to all…and certainly us…that the owners take pride in the product they serve every day. From the simple things like the oven fresh bread, to the entrees like their AWESOME fish specials….it;s THE place to eat in the Back Mountain. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
