The set-up is confusing (it’d be nice to sit and be served), but the food is simply amazing and the service and friendliness even better. We eat here once a month, and have never had anything short of a 5/5 meal.
A pretty and breathable atmosphere, with greens outside,I liked the dishes fully cooked with perfect amount of flavours in it,specially thr char grilled greek inspired burger…pastries are too tasty…
I’ve been to Hellenic Kouzina on at least 20 or more occasions, and I keep going back for more. On most visits, I order a gyro, dill feta dip (which comes with warm pita), and fried calamari. The gyros are loaded with lamb and beef (or pork or chicken if you choose), tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce in fresh pita bread. The calamari are lemony and crispy, and are great to dip in the addictive, savory dill-feta dip. The seasoned Greek fries also make a solid compliment to the dill feta dip, and are lemony and bright. I’ve been going to Hellenic since they opened in 2012, and they’re only getting better, expanding their premises and selection to fit more people and take more orders. They quickly grew to become a local favorite, and they’re still going strong. It’s peaceful to sit in their outdoor patio next to the fountain or under the string lights at night during the warmer months, or inside by the classy, hypnotic glass water wall in the center of their newly-expanded dining room. And if you don’t want to stay or they’re packed to the brim (as they often are!), call ahead or order there and take your food to-go. While Hellenic started out as a Panera-style restaurant where your coaster would buzz and you go up to the counter to get your order, on less busy days the friendly staff will grab your order for you and bring it to your table. It’s not expected, but often a pleasant surprise.Despite my regular order, I have also tried many of their other specialties, and I’ve loved all of them. Their flavorful Moussaka has layers of complimentary eggplant, zucchini, and potatoes and can be very filling. Depending on their menu at any given time, you may be able to order their char-broiled octopus, which is a real, tender treat; Or the char-grilled sea bass which is quite large, served whole, and extends beyond the plate you eat it on. And when you’re done with the main course, help yourself to some of their decadent desserts, including their rich baklava (or baklava ice cream!) maybe with some of their rich, hot Greek coffee. All wonderful, all at an excellent price. This place strikes the perfect balance between price, hometown family charm, a great atmosphere, and delicious food that will bring you back for more. Writing this review has made me want to order it tomorrow again for lunch. They’ve clearly got many of us locals addicted.
Nice relaxing place. Coffee and deserts are fantastic. Authentic Greek Coffee. Staff was fantastic and offered up unlimited time to talk to you. Small Con: to close to the road when outside.
Great food, unusual service. Since being the only decent Greek restaurant in the area, we eat here a lot. Food is always good and made to order. However, the service is odd and the meals are slightly overpriced for lunchtime. How is the service odd? You order at the counter, they ask for your name AND give you a pager. You seat yourself and then a server immediately comes over to take your pager (no one cares about your name anymore). When the kitchen has your meal assembled, a server (may not be the same one that took your pager) delivers your food to you. Then, while you are eating, multiple servers may come by to check on you, refill your drink, take your empty plates, etc., even though there are self-bussing stations in the restaurant. At lunch one time we counted at least 6 different servers came to our table during our meal (there are only 2 of us and there was nothing special about our order). I feel that the front of the house could be streamlined and would be less confusing to customers.
Wait was too long – No adequate seating – Strange taste. I had their baklava about one year ago. It was awesome. I just had it for the second time. It was terrible. It had a strange chemical after-taste. I experienced stomach issues for the entire afternoon following lunch here. The difference in quality was really profound. They must have changed cooks.
Couldnt dream up a better dinner. First time there. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. Sat outside next to the fountain and that was amazing!! I was confused at first because you stand in line and order cafeteria style but the fodo is so fresh and delicious that you know everytbing is homemade. And the service is akin to fine dining. Impeccable. Definitely going back for seconds!
