Expect Worsening Conditions. The new owner is taking steps to gradually kill the business. They have begun the attempt to shrink their way to growth. Diner’s are open weekend nights into the wee hours. No longer at the Blue Fountain. They think they are a restaurant, not a diner, and there are far better restaurants in the area. My wife and I used to go to the Blue Fountain on weekend nights for a snack. We would also go there for an occasional lunch and dinner, since we wanted to support it and it felt comfortable. Well, once they shut down for nights, we had to find another option. We did: The Golden Dawn, just down the road a piece, and it is surprisingly better than the Blue Fountain. Now, we go to the Golden Dawn for lunch and dinner instead of the Blue Fountain. As the Blue Fountain force other customers to go elsewhere, their food quality and service will decline (and it wasn’t starting from a high level). Better to find your alternatives …now.

Going downhill. I have been going there on the weekends for the chile lunch. The new owner has changed the chile. It is no longer home made. It comes straight out of a can and tastes terrible. The change in quality was obvious. If i wanted can food i would stay at home. I complained to the cashier and he said it was a name brand can. Makes one wonder what other short cuts are taking place in the kitchen.. That may be the reason why the place was empy during a saturday lunch hour while the local competition has a higher attendance. The future looks dim for these owners and i will never go back.

Have never been a big fan of this restaurant however my friends eat here often and encourage me to come. On arriving I found the parking lot had been newly resurfaced providing plenty of parking. Found the place to be quite barren for 6:30 on a Saturday night. Not a good sign. Waitress was very friendly and the service was excellent. Diner as I remembered it was kind of dingy however after talking to the new owner I find this place is going to have a huge influx of cash. This should bring the antiquated look inside and out into the 21st-century. Had liver and onions with mashed potatoes and roasted green beans found them to be very tasty. Had my choice of salad bar or salad and soup plus beverage and dessert on this early bird special priced at $9.95 very reasonable. The soup was snapper usually extra served with Sherry just as it should be. Quite tasty. Talk to the new owner briefly a young fellow from Turkey seemed very pleasant. He informed us that there would be a car show there Sunday June 9, 2014 which should bring in some people to help kick this business off to good start. He informed us that he’ll be open during the renovations hope it won’t be too tough on us diners or him either I know I will support his business based upon my contact today.

3/14/14 NEW OWNERS CONFISCATE GIFT CERTIFICATES!!. 3/14/14 ** NEW OWNERS CONFISCATE LONGTIME CUSTOMER’S GIFT CERT!Good tipping, longtime customer rec’d a $30 Gift Certificate for Christmas. Not even 3 months later, Gus sells BFD to kids Charley and Tuba, paid for with Daddy’s money. After breaking out the GC on the week of 3/2, my balance was $20.51. On 3/14 had lunch and Tuba took the Gift Cert away saying it was no long any good, and to take cookies home instead. My jaw hit the floor. Is this how you start a new relationship with your customers?! I guess $6 made it worth losing me as a customer for life! If this is how these clueless new owners try to run a business, which obviously they no nothing about, and are willing to gamble on losing good longtime customers, then I fear for their employees!!

The address is wrong to start. I will not give you the correct address to save you. I had the gyro from a greek owned business. Not good as to amount that was served. Carb out on the greasy fries to catch up on your carb intake
