Overrated!. I heard some much about this place when i did go i found it to be highly over rated. You cant hear to talk with someone and the food wasnt the best – Pre packaged! Not a huge selection of beer. Not sure what all the talk is about.
Extremely Loud. I have been to other Fox and Hound locations and liked them. Therefore I tried the one in Erie when I was there for business. Big mistake. It was too loud to stay and eat. I do not know how someone could talk to the person across from them. I ordered take out and it was not good. The chicken flatbread was extremely dry and the potato skins were overcooked. Definitely needs some work. Start with turning down the music and TV’s so people can talk.
Stay Away from this place. This place should have a sign out front saying they don’t cater to non-regulars. I went into the Fox and Hound around 5:00pm on Monday night. At the time, there was only one other person at the bar. I sat there for at least 5 minutes while the waitresses and manager stood at the end of the bar chatting. Two more guys came in that were obviously regulars. The manager and two bartenders/waitresses came right over and started chatting with them. Only after the waitress was done saying Hello to the regulars did she come over. I ordered my dinner and beer at the initial vist. When she brought my chicken sandwich, she didn’t stay long enough for me to ask for silverware or ketchup. However, AFTER I went to the table behind me to get silverware and ketchup, she come over with silverware and asked me if I needed or anything else. It is pretty clear that they only want regulars.
Eat Elsewhere. Nice atmosphere, though it is overpriced. The pub pretzels looked like something you would buy in the freezer section at the grocery store.
Meal was under-sized and over-priced. The food wasn’t bad, just decidedly unspectacular. If I had to find something positive to say about FHRG, it would be that they do have a dozen or so flat screen TVs that provided football viewing pleasure.
Great beer…eat elsewhere
Use to be better!. Lot of happy hours and dinners spent at the hound until the beer started to taste funny and just don’t go there anymore. Place is getting worn down needs face lift.
