Seafoodlover. Excellent prime rib – try it blackened. New ownership has made minor but thoughtful improvements to the menu and significant improvements to the dining room (thanks for losing the clutter – too many leprechauns!). Can’t wait to return – the Avanti’s crew knows how to do it.
Do not eat here been sold. Some of the worst food ever, Steve sold the place. What a shame for Erie will never ever go back, it was really terrible . Can not stress enough how bad it really was.do not go to syds if you expect anything like you got before.
Good hometown restaurant with great prices and variety. I had seafood, which was delicious. Boyfriend had steak, which was bland, but tender. Friendly service.
DISSAPPOINTED. I read the reviews about the Perch and thought I had a sure deal… NOT! I’ve been fishing for and eating Perch for years and if your reviewers think Syd’s Perch is excellent, they have NO idea about what good Perch tastes like! I should have gone to Burger King for a Whaler and saved 30 bucks!
Forgot to add that I order crabcakes and they came back cold so the waitress took the whole plate back put it all back on the grill flattened it out and brought the same cakes back out all in pieces. Not impressed, the smell of pine sol comes to mind. Clams were not freshly battered; frozen out of a bag. Pasta dish was drowning in oil and butter….price was just ok.
It’s the PERCH!. This is where you must go for Lake Erie Perch. The menu has other good choices but the perch is the #1 MUST HAVE item!!!
