Ugly Tuna is not a happy place to be! Go someplace else!. We don’t! Why did this place even open…the food is terrible! The service and food is terrible! So many other restaurants close by to check out! The waitresses are disrespectful! It saddens our hearts! We had such high hopes!
Ugly—THEY NAMED IT RIGHT!. Tried this place for the 1st and LAST TIME…Let me start with the ownership….the most unfriendly. They don’t no the meaning of customer satisfaction. They should realize there in the SERVICE business. AND THE CUSTOMER IS PAYING THERE BILLS. The food…TERRIBLE. HIGH PRICED LOW VAULE. FOR PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD FOR THERE MONEY….THIS ISN’T THE PLACE TO SPEND IT!
This place is horrible. Ordered the nachos and calamari. Nachos had liquid cheese from a machine like I was at a little league game and the calamari was chewy and tasteless. The server was nice and decor was good too but DO NOT go for the food.
GREAT food,GREAT service,GREAT ATMOSPHERE!!. I recently had dinner at the Ugly Tuna Tavern with my husband and we were more than pleased with our meals and friendly, prompt service. My husband and I shared the Tuna Quesadilla, which is a tuna steak cut up medium rare and thrown into a quesadilla-GENIUS!!! So delicious. For dinner I had the Fried Seafood Platter-a variety of fried fish, shrimp and clam strips with some sauces and coleslaw. Also very good! My husband ordered the Crabby Cake Sandwich-a mixture of scallops, crab and shrimp made into a patty with an aioli sauce. LOVED IT! The menu is simple, it is not overwhelming and it has something for everybody to enjoy. I would say it’s a high quality tavern with friendly staff, fun atmosphere and excellent food for just being a tavern. GOOD JOB UGLY TUNA! AND THANKS!
Patio is delightful. Calamari was nongreasy and tasty batter. Tuna quesadilla highly recommend with aioli sauce. Clam strips hearty size and delicious. Had appetizers as Tapas. Service was excellent.

Very Erie, pa. Lots of deep fried crap. Halfway decent beer selection. OK service. Ordered shrimp basket to share with my boyfriend. Too greasy and the fries were soggy, as if the oil in the fryer was not hot enough before they dunked them. Amateurish. Good location, I’m sure this place will be busy all summer even though it sucks.
