We have been customers of Aldo’s since it opened in the early ’80s. The food has always been delicious and consistent. The Sicilian pizza is the best I’ve ever had (and I’m 67). Ditto for their Ceasar salad. As for entrees, the Veal Saltimbocca can’t be beat!
Bad service and manager. I have been to this restaurant several times in the past but, with my last experience I will not return. My girlfriend and I went to have dinner and we waited an hour and 20 minutes with no entre being served. We had to leave due to her son arriving at the airport early and asked to see the manager, when the manager arrives we explained we were there for an hour and 20 minutes without being served our entre and pointed out the table next to us which arrived after us and was finishing their dinner. The manager stated that I was wrong and they arrived before us, the people at the table corrected the manager and advised her we were there when they arrived. The manager then went on to justify the service by telling us that they weren’t McDonald’s and make their food to order she stated our dinner was delayed because we ordered an appetizer.I failed understand how when taking a complaint she can justify the poor service and basically call me a liar when I told her the table next to us came in later until she was corrected by the table. I was more upset with the behavior of the manager than waiting an hour and 20 minutes without being served. But they both set the tone for my bad experience.
Long wait & expensive. I did a walkin. I ordered one pizza & one sandwich. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes for the order. It was about 45 minutes until it was done. There were some people who walked in & called ahead and even they were standing around waiting a lot longer than what they were told also.
Amazing. Their food is outstanding best italian food in the area! Aldo always makes you feel welcome, a wonderful family ran restaurant. One time I went and picked up my food and my credit card did not work and sal ,aldos partner, told me to go home take the food eat before it gets cold and come back later or the next day to pay it was very nice of him my family and I really appreciated it! The phone girls are very nice and always tell you to have a great night with a smile! Great family ran restaurant!
I’ve been eating at Aldo’s since I was a kid.The food great.I’ve been a vegetarian for 18 years and not like a lot of other restaurants Aldo’s has lots to choose from Without getting bored. Thanks Aldo for saving me from having to cook at least once a week.lol
Don’t Ask to Buy Sauce. Apparently the sauce recipe is so secret that Sal the owners brother in law refuses to sell it to you. I went in yesterday to purchase a side of sauce to bake a pizza at home. Sal told me he will not sell his sauce. When I explained to him that every other pizzeria in the area sells them no problem, he told me to go to the other pizzerias. Sal, I will certainly do just that and you have lost my husband and myself as loyal customers. Note that we were patrons of the establishment when it was called All Star Pizza. How sad in this economy to be treated this way when you have been a part of their business for over 20 years. Thanks Sal and keep on driving away the customers!!!
Loved it.. The pizza is good. For those who like a gourmet pizza, I highly recommend the Brooklyn style pizza…It’s a square thin cust Margehrita style pizza.I’ve had many all over and this is number 1…..get to the entrees and wow! I love many entrees from here. The chicken and veal dishes are delicious. Chicken Victoria and Chicken du Chef is mouthwatering. Stop in and dine and you may find terrific special. I tried the Filet Oscar and bit into a taste of heaven. I cant see how anyone would be disappointed in their food. And the atmosphere makes the diner feel that they’v stepped into Italy. It’s Pennsylvnia’s best Italian cuisine. Period. Been to all the others. This place rocks.
