I’ve visited Philadelphia two times in the last four years to visit family. I always look forward to getting my Philly fix… a good hoagie, a cheesesteak and soft pretzels. On one of the visits (September 2015) we bought several hoagies from Pallante’s…. honestly, this was the worse Italian hoagie I have ever put in my mouth… maybe it was a bad day for the sandwich maker but even my family remarked that the hoagies weren’t up to par from what they ordered in the past… Unless things have changed I would recommend that if you want a good, fresh Italian hoagie you go to Altomonte’s Italian Market & Delicatessen in Warminster, Pretty good… when I visit Philly again I’ll try Pallante’s again… just hope I’m not disappointed.
Rude cashier…good food. I stopped in because I was passing by. I got some pizza and tomato pie. It was very good. However, the woman running the cashier was miserable, and had an attitude. Maybe they should find someone who enjoys working, especially with the public. It’s a shame that I will remember the rudeness more than the good food. I won’t be back.
Palates is the best deli I know of in Bucks and I eat at A LOT of delis. The classic Italian hoagie with oil and vin adds just enough moisture to the Sarcones seeded roll to make it. The perfect blend with the wonderful meats they use. They also sneak in some pepperoni to the sandwich. Also, try the tomato pies if you’re not in a sandwich mood. Amazing!! Like them much better than Primos.
