Stuffed!. 6 slice is all I could handle and I have a pretty hefty appetite. Complimentary beans were tasty. Great service. Good prices. Older but inviting atmosphere. Sounds like there are many great places to stop in the ‘pizza capital of the world’ but this one did not disappoint.

WORST PIZZA IN OLD FORGE…. We eat pizza about 4 to 5 times a month and have eaten at every restaurant in Old Forge many times.. This time i was VERY surprised..first off the service was horrible as usual, older blonde woman never came back for refills and gave us wrong order, then messed up the bill.. now onto the food, we got pasta with vodka sauce, tripe and a tray of pizza..the only thing that was decent was the pasta, ill give it a 5 out of 10.. the tripe was terribly chewy and very dark colored and the pizza had no flavor at all.. they sprinkle italian seasoning on pizza that shouldnt be there.. i dont remember the pizza being so bad… i usually can eat 6 to 8 cuts and i only ate 3…im 100% italian and know what good food is, and trust me on this, arcaros pizza is really bad.. id rather eat dominos pizza.. and its half the price…you want good pizza go to Revellos.. best in Old Forge hands down….
Excellent Food/Terrible Service. I was there for a wedding reception in their banquet hall this past weekend. The food was excellent. The service was awful – rude, pushy, and miserable. The room was too small for a large wedding. We were crammed in there. The dance floor was too small also. If you are looking for good food (especially the pizza) and don’t mind being treated rudely, then it’s the place to go. If you want a friendlier dining experience, there are dozens of other Italian restaurants that specialize in Old Forge style pizza in the general area that are much better.
For 25+ yrs, I have been a fan of this restaurant. The pizza is so good that when it’s not perfect we say they’re having an off night. Now customer service needs a big shake-up! Everyone knows they will have a wait to be seated, but when a hostess doesn’t appear for 10+ minutes, it’s aggravating. You feel disrespected as a customer. When Jack or Annmarie aren’t bartending, forget decent bar service. Most of the servers are fantastic, but the rest are just awful. It’s one or the other. Everyone expects to wait to be seated, but a hostess not even appearing to take your name for over 10 minutes is unacceptable. Problem is they have so much steady business, the owners really don’t care. Too bad. With a tight economy, people can spend they’re precious disposable money elsewhere. Hope they wake up soon to this reality. Another patron whispered to us that another nearby restaurant was just as good with better service. That’s not good for business.
Not only Pizza. A lot of the review’s are based on Arcaro’s pizza but Id like to add a review about their other food. I’ve had some of the best pasta and sea food dishes I’ve ever had here. Just recently i had the best scallop’s over pasta I’ve ever tasted.Truly an old fashion restaurant with home style cooking. you wont be disappointed but get there early as it fills up fast.
Horrible!!!!. They need to do some customer service training. They definitely lost our business.
