Corner Bakery Cafe is a chain that has finally moved to Philly, bringing its freshly baked goods with it. I’ve always thought of Corner Bakery Cafe as a nicer Panera, finding that their pastries, breads, and sandwiches are fresh and tasty. I’ve stopped here many times for breakfast and have found the coffee to be okay and their sandwiches to be the ticket menu items. The Anaheim panini is filled with flavor and perfect for the morning. The steel-cut oatmeal is extremely filling and warming. The spinach and avocado power melt is great, but it’s way too small! It’s best to order that with something else, or possible two of them. Still, I enjoy that they have outdoor seating and that the food is brought to me. The staff has always been patient when I’m trying to consider what to order and extremely friendly in the morning. It’s a good place to grab food on the go too.
