Pittsburgh Magazine. At Caf at the Frick, the bountiful gardens within view of the restaurant are lush with tomatoes, basil and greens, and the upscale lunch menu features them nearly every day. 7227 Reynolds St., Point Breeze; 412/371-0600, thefrickpittsburgh.orgThe best thing about ingredients this fresh is that they make a meal taste like summer.
Delightful brunch. We had brunch at the Frick on Sunday, and it was lovely. Delicious food, and I really enjoyed sitting on the patio on a beautiful day. I had the blueberry crepes, and they were very good. Dessert was a lemon tart with chocolate topping, which was also wonderful.
My Favorite Place in the City. Love the veggie friendly menu. Creative and often exquisite food without the pretentiousness. Best kept secret. Every visit has been 5 of 5 stars. Last time though the tea sandwiches and sweets were a little disappointing and uninspiring, but overall you can’t go wrong here.
Amazing.. The whole environment at The Frick is just wonderful. The small cafe, which was decorated for fall, is the perfect spot for looking out onto the estate and seeing all of its gorgeous landscape. The sandwiches were just delicious and very well proportioned. Next visit I’d like to try the afternoon tea, which comes with a heaping amount of sandwiches, breads, and teas, or champagne. I love this place!
Cafe at the Frick. My wife enjoyed a very delightful evening at the Frick Cafe’s Beer Dinner this past month (November). The four-course affair’s focus was the well-known Great Lakes Brewery and every course had a beers from their venue. The Great Lakes Brewery sent a sponser to the affair who provided lots of interesting information about each of the selections. Wait staff was superb and very responsive. The food was well presented and tasty. I love lamb and the lamb was just excellent. Just a great time. We plan to attend another special dinner in the near future.
