A real special place in Pittsburgh!. Very nice coffees, great food, nice folks, plus a magnificent garden in the summer! What more could you ask for?Klaus
What a gem :). I was fortunate to come across make your mark after moving to pittsburgh for school. i wanted to find a coffeeshop that with the right atmosphere of not too loud but not to strictly tense, and of course, great coffee. make your mark fits all my expectations for the ideal coffeeshop. the workers are super friendly and the manager particularly is always a pleasure to have an extensive chat with!i love how their coffees are all organic and roasted fresh very recent to your visit. they also have delicious pastries that a personal baker makes for the cafe. i love this cafe, and even go out of my way to come here 🙂
Racist! Not nice to Asians!. I felt several times whenever I visit! Girls who are working there are very nice! But the guy who works there is terrible. He kept me waiting forever because he spent lots of time for giggling with other people.Terrible service!
A Nice Space. I often go to meet a friend for coffee as it is midway between where both of us work. I like this space. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. The food is good and the coffee is delicious. Service has always been good on my visits, even the one where I walked in for an iced coffee to go and didn’t realize it was closing time. I wasn’t rushed out the door and was able to get exactly what I wanted.
My Happy Place in the East End. Have frequented this establishment for a number of years and consider it to be a wonderful place to grab an Americano or an iced coffee (best in the city) and get some work done. Stick around for lunch and relax on the scenic back patio. The hummus wrap with a side of couscous is one of my favs! I have always found the owners and staff to be very friendly and accommodating. BTW, dogs ARE allowed on the sidewalk out front. If you really want to have coffee with your dog by a tree, there is always Frick Park.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a coffee shop. The woman that worked there seemed to grow impatient with any questions about the food. She accused me of arguing with her when I stated that other restaurants allowed dogs in their outdoor seating areas. I told her to keep her coffee. I’ll will never return to this place. I’ve had great service here in the past but one lone employee can sour any past good memories.
RUDE MANAGER-NOT RETURNING. I thought the place would be ideal for an iced chai tea during a relaxing afternoon meeting; however, I never got to taste any of the offerings because the manager abruptly interrupted my meeting and told me and my guest we were taking advantage of their scenery and free wi-fi without eating! He then complained to us about how his business struggles. If people say the food and drink are good, the struggles are likely due to an inattentive manager who doesn’t care to attract or keep customers. He pretty much called us freeloaders. Also, while it is a child-friendly location, children had left food on the ground that was never picked up by the staff. Only eat here if you do not desire optimal customer service. I will taking my business to Bliss Coffee House or Coffee Tree Roasters; they never harass their customers by telling them what to eat and when.
