My go-to choice. PBC is my favorite restaurant in the Burgh because the food and service are always great no matter what I order, and I always enjoy my visits. It’s not cheap eats and it’s a noisy, casual bistro vibe, but always a great value. I have never been disappointed. From my old stand-bys of moules frites or steak frites, to trying something new on the seasonal specials, I have never had a disappointing meal here. if you want a private, quiet corner, this place isn’t it. If you want elegant ambience for an uber-romantic dinner, this place isn’t it. But if you want a lively atmosphere and a delicious meal with friendly service and some wonderful beer, this is an excellent choice.18 Oct, 2014Steak Frites. Excellent steak topped with Maytag bleu cheese, and their real honest-to-God authentic frites.

Pittsburgh’s most overrated restaurant. Maybe I’m missing something but this restaurant doesn’t come close to being one the best in the city.Atmosphere is crowded and hectic. Many of the table are very close to each other so don’t plan on having a romantic dinner or a private conversation. They don’t take reservations and it’s a very small restaurant so plan on waiting for a table in an extremely small bar area or on the sidewalk.Service is unattentive at best and rushed and rude at worst. They seem to have the attitude that we’re always crowded so we don’t have to provide good service. And the food is okay. It’s not bad but it’s nothing special. You can get much better food and service at many other restaurants in Pittsburgh. And most of them will take a reservation so you don’t have to wait an hour or more for a table.

The food was absolutely fabulous! The service was quite friendly, and the decor was splendid. I rated it 23/24.

Disappointed. We’ve been here many times before and it’s usually great. However, last night I ordered fish and it arrived absolutely reeking and inedible. I don’t know how it could have gotten past the chef without his noticing that it was not fresh. Our server took it away without question and took it off the bill, but it was a real turnoff.

Wow! Point Brugge definitely lives up to the hype! I went here tonight on a first date – and I’ll start off by saying this is a perfect date spot! Once you’re seated its cozy and perfect for good conversation. It was about 7:15 on Friday night and although crowded we waited only about 20 mins. The draft selection is small- maybe 4 beers- but they had additional bottles that supplemented the draft list well. My date had a Moscow mule And thought it was really good And so did I. I had a terrapin IPA can tgat was good. We shared the mac and cheeee small plate as an app. It was good but a little dry. Large portion though. My date had the flatbread. I tried it and the flavors were there but the actual flatbread needed to be cooked longer. I had the mussels classic style with white wine, garlic , shallots, and cream. They were delicious and more bread was offered to sop up the sauce without me asking. I ate about half the mussels so even the small bowl which is what I had is enough for 2. I’d love to come back for brunch at some point too. Our service was very good as well and she suggested everything we ordered so props to her for not steering us wrong!

Great. I dined on a Sunday evening & it was amazing. I of course had to try the muscles which were fantastic. Enjoyed with a glass of wine. Can’t wait to go back.

I recently went with friends who had really been hyping up this place, specifically the mussels and frites. After a brief wait which we spent at the bar (with prompt and friendly service), we were seated and we all ordered the mussels the frites. I’m very pleased to say that my expectations were far exceeded. The mussels were outstanding and flavorful. I was truly impressed and look forward to many more visits. My only fear is that I may not be able to branch out beyond the mussels because now I’m hooked. Excellent beer selection as well!
