Abe’s. A landmark…The management are very pleasant and want to please. Rating 9/10Food: great breakfast, fast service lunch is good but not NYC style. Amount of food not constant with price 7/10Staff: attentive, knowledgable, . 8/10Price: 6/10. Need a little more quantity for the price.
Some of the best deli food scranton has to offer! And the best part, it’s all homemade!!! Choices vary by day as do the specials. I’ve never gotten anything that I didn’t like. Club sandwiches, soups, salads (my favorite is the fresh tomatoe and mozzarella) and even full plate options are just some of what u will find here! My hat off to Jerry, honestly one of the best places to grab lunch in scranton!!
THESE GUYS ARE THE VERY BEST !. NOW this is a real DELI ! I LOVE IT!
Abe’s is a nIce lunch place with friendly service and great sandwiches. Normal size sandwich at a decent price. Recommend the liverwurst sandwich however chickensoup disappointing.
SO–So food–passable. I ate there and the food was alright but cant compare to Katz deli in Brooklyn where the sandwiches are twice as big and tasty.I guess for a pennsylvania deli it will have to do–since no other Jewish deli is comparable. The people in P.A ..wouldnt know a great jewish sandwich if it came up and bit them on the tucus –really sad
I’m thinking about honoring Jerry with a statue. He truly provides an essential public service. If you go anywhere in Scranton for lunch – go here.
