The trip to Scranton, Pennsylvania was nothing short of a pilgrimage. For those of you who have seen it, The Office will remain one of the greatest television shows of all time, and as a result, the town of Scranton will forever remain etched in our memories. Our initial plan was to stop by the famed Chilli’s , but somehow we turned up at Boulevard. The quintessential American diner, with a greek twist, the place has the kind of ambience that would make you feel you walked straight into one of the wise-guys movies, where people order a black coffee and sit down to talk about important business.Keeping with the theme of feeling American we ordered black coffee, scrambled eggs and bread and fries. It was a little late in the afternoon and the fillings were just perfect to quench the hunger. The black coffee was just perfect as well.As I walked out of the diner and we made our way back to New York City, I realized that this would probably turn out to be one of my fondest memories of the United States. And an year on, in hindsight, I wasn’t wrong.
Amazing place! Great prices, great food. The only thing I dislike is the hours, but they get my recommendation.
