A little disappointed. This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Upon entering , I was immediately drawn to the beautiful pastry and meat case. The dried sausage looked fantastic. It’s nice to see this type of old fashioned Italian dried meats outside of New York City. The dining room also had a very nice ambiance ( lights need to be dimmed however). I had a total party of four. My one guest had the chicken francaise and raved about it. Next guest had the shrimp parm and also thought it was very tasty. Next had the Carbonara with risotto and was disappointed. We all took a taste and agreed. Being a true Italian I know how a good risotto looks. The cook cheated a bit making this risotto because it was mixed with finely mashed noodles for bulk. Not a good idea. Also the suce was very watery. I had the cheese tortellini. While it was ok, it was not what you would expect from this type of restaurant. Tortellinis were overcooked and the sauce was bland and watery. Also, I’d like to mention that we all had salads and were surprised to see that basically all there was on the plate was lettuce and a few croutons ( no tomatoes, no oilves, just lettuce). The caeser dressing tasted like a bitter Italain dressing. I will say though that the waitresses were very nice and friendly and provided good service. Will we go back? Probably not.
