Great atmosphere and service. This is one of the few places in NEPA that I have no complaints about. The menu is small but always great tasting. Make sure you try the chili! Beer and spirit selection is top notch with great advice when you just don’t know what you’re in the mood for. The service has always been kind and exemplary. I will keep on coming back as long as things dont change. Keep up the good work guys!
I have been going to Jack’s for the past several years & only recently do I go out of my way to go there. After being remodeled & taken under new ownership it has officially become my favorite place to go. With endless trashy clubs & kitschy Irish bars all over Scranton, Jack’s has broken the mold by operating a beautifully well thought out bar where a more mature crowd can gather to have great drinks & great food. Perfect!
If you saw the old jacks then you know what it looked like, now the place has been so well remodeled u will literally kick off your shoes in a fit of joy!! Staff is also great.
One of the best beer selections in the area and great food. Bob makes some of the best paninis around and Karen, Dimitri, and Steve are some of the best on the bar. Stop in for a quick drink or a nice meal or just for a good game of chess with Dimitri.
The new jacks draught house is proof positive that Scranton can contain more than party bars. With their recent upgrade, they have achieved a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. While they are new, familiar faces are plentiful. The menu is light and goes above and beyond typical bar fare with their selections of panninis. They have a calender of great music lined up and should continue to do so indefinitely. The decor is part cabin in the woods, part brew pub with exposed brick and wood. The staff is warm and friendly and the crowd is always welcoming to new faces as opposed to the other neighborhood bars in the area. They are open 7 days a week always until 2am. Stop in and say hi to Demitri, Karen and Bob. Best new bar in Scranton
I happen to stumble upon this place and I was pleasantly suprised with the awesome decor and quality of muchies. It’s Rustic with a modern flare, I love the 3 fireplaces and lounge areas.
Scranton hasn’t seen a great bar in years… Thoughtful creative design minus the obnoxious tv’s , beer posters and banners. You can actually go here and hang out….. The exterior does not hint at what’s inside….well done!!
