A lack of consistency here is the main issue. The food seems to vary wildly between fantastic and flavorless. This leads to a certain degree of anxiety. Whenever we pull into the parking lot, we worry whether this will be $60.00 well spent … or if we will leave frustrated and angry. Our last venture (three days ago) was mediocre. I requested no onions in my pasta, was promised no onions, and then received an onion-filled dish (unfortunately, this is not the first time this happened here). For me, it was inedible. Still, my better-half and my brother received the exact food they ordered and enjoyed it very much. Your best bet (as we have discovered over the years) is to visit in the off-hours exclusively. This establishment tends to flounder under pressure and the those happy smiles of the server disappear quickly when there is even a hint of pressure (a few weeks ago, we made the error of visiting around 6:00PM … I was gruffly told there can be no modifications to the menus). Try visiting around 8:00PM for a more pleasant experience. The bread is nearly always heavenly (unless it is given to you cold) and the herbaceous butter is amazing. Outside of that, it’s a bit of a gamble here.
