My family and I eat here often the food is great and in the beginning the service was great as well, as time goes they seem to be getting worst. I was there 2 days ago and the waitress came to welcome us, did noteven bring us the chips that they usually bring, I usually order tacos and my tacos were so dry barely had meat nd onions on them, and she even forgot to bring to give us hot sauce I had to keep standing up to tell her if I needed anything. we were the only customers there so I did not expect the service to be so poor. They are one of the best tacos in Scranton but after that experience I dnt think I will be back for a while.
Rustic experience. Let’s start by saying this is a small grocery with some traditional Mexican food supplies including fresh produce. They take CREDIT CARDS. The food seems very traditional BUT less refined. The ingredients used to make our food was fresh and a much larger amount of the food was fresh( Comparing to Tolteca Express in Edwardsville) We needed to keep ordering MORE sauces/salsa as the bowls were too SMALL. We had to ask for a variety of sauces also. The food definitely needed these sauces because we like it spicy. I would give a 75% overall but an 85% on food quality and authenticity. NO ATM ON SITE. CREDIT ACCEPTED. We will be back many more times.
Unappetizing. I was only there once and unfortunately I didn’t like anything I ordered. The prices are cheap so we ordered many different types of items off the menu and still weren’t happy. For starters you get what seems to be home made chips and salsa. The cokes (soda) are in glass bottles. They give you a variety of sauces with your meal and I suggest you use them, it may enhance your the experience. They tend to overpower some of the items with the overuse of cilantro. Taqueria Oaxaca only accepts cash. They have an ATM in case you don’t have any (hard cash) on you (at an additional charge of $2.50). Even if Taqueria Oaxaca was having an off day when I visited, overall they still produce better food that any of the Thai Thai establishments.Food = 2/5 (poor)Price = 3/5 (cheap cost)Service = 2.5/5 (good)Atmosphere = 1.5/5 (modest)Overall = 2 out of 5 stars
