Poop. This morning I woke up and decided to grab a breakfast to go for my girlfriend at this Brueggers in Shadyside…. worst decision of my life! I did not feel at all welcome upon entry, as my yawn was met with unfriendly glances by both dirty customers and staff. A man with a greasy eyebrow who was sitting at a table in the corner smelled of old cabbage and rotting arabica beans… i would later (30min later) find out find out that he worked the register. Once I finally received my food it was basically cold and when i received the coffee i was not offered a cardboard cupholder, and upon inquiry was told they could not find any and would have to look downstairs, making sure to emphasize that this would be disdainful to them… for early in the morning on a sunday this kind of experience can taint the rest of the day. i like brueggers, just not this one.
Dirty. Bruegger’s is usually a reliable place for a quick bite. The Shadyside Bruegger’s however has horribly slow service (I’d say at least 10-15 minutes in line/paying and it was not very busy) and very dirty floors and bathrooms. I will definitely think twice before going to this Bruegger’s again.
Good stuff. May not be the best bagels in town (I haven’t tried them all yet…), but they’ll certainly do. I especially like the rosemary flavor.
Good Bagels. Their bagel sandwich was kind of gross though, they put a ton of cream cheese on it.
