You know a restaurant is good when they get the basics right. Caf moulin seems to get everything right. From the lovely ambience, you feel like youre in a cozy little cave, to the servers, my brunch experience was delightful. I expected the crepe to be good- and it was! The ingredients were fresh, and every bite made me go weak. But what really got me was the cappuccino. I havent had a perfect cup of cappuccino in a long time. The milk was perfectly steamed, with just the right amount and consistency of froth. I was blown away. Add to it the wonderful service and you have a perfect restaurant experience. The only downside is the long wait times, but that would be expected in a tiny restaurant thats serving great food. Get there early!Im definitely bringing everyone I know here.

This is one of my favorite places for a weekend brunch. The food is phenomenal, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I particularly like that Cafe Moulin’s sweets crepes aren’t overly so, and the restaurant has a nice variety of teas.
I love this place! The food is amazing- I haven’t ordered anything I didn’t like and I ordered a lot. The coffee is strong. The salad is fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. After one trip here it quickly became my favorite spot in Shadyside!
Just Right. I was looking for a nice crepe place and stumbled upon this today at lunch. Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The decor is nice and comfortable. The service was prompt and courteous, the food was priced reasonably. Oh yeah, and the food was fantastic! I had the Tivoli crepe with egg added. It came with a healthy salad portion which was fresh and tasty.The crepe was just exactly what I wanted. Light, tasty, and clean. The coffee was decent as well.I will definitely be back and I recommend it for those who appreciate a good crepe or some good French toast.
Prompt service, great coffee, and everything was very fresh. Informal attire is best choice, and you’ll likely be sitting on stool or at small table. If you like crepes you should absolutely check this place out.
