Wow! Keeps getting better.. We have been going to Cafe Zinho since it opened years ago and have always liked it. It is gluten free friendly, which is great for me. Tonight, we had coconut clam chowder, which was the best clam chowder I’ve eaten and it was gluten free! We also had the figs stuffed with Gorgonzola which was also fabulous. For entrees, we had menu staples, duck with Grand Marnier and crab cakes. They were excellent as always. I also love their winter lamb shank, which will probably appear soon. The specials keep expanding with lots of fish choices and also several preparations of rabbit this evening. It’s also BYOB wine or beer, which makes it more economical, since you can bring a great chairman’s selection for a fraction of what places with liquor licenses will charge. We have never been disappointed. If you go early, you don’t need a reservation. Service is always excellent.
Authentic!. Cute byob- authentic atmosphere- off the beaten path.goat cheese puff pastry and Portuguese cod fritter are to die for!!!! prices are oook- on the pricey side but the food is good!best for some wine and apps 🙂 oh- and staff!- Rena is the best!!!
First time customer and loved everything about it. Atmosphere, decor, staff was friendly and attentive. Stopped for vino and dessert. Crepes were to die for.
I truly enjoyed my dining experience as a first time diner at Cafe Zinho. We were a group of six and had the good fortune of being in the small back room. Intimate and delightful. The goat cheese beet salad had great presentation and great flavor. Soup of the day was a chick pea and mushroom. Delicious. Had the lobster ravioli special. Good but I wasn’t blown away with that dish. Vegees served with it was a nice surprise though. Would definitely go back the next time in town.
Fantastique!. Love the food, atmosphere, & service. Polite, european, authentic. Real. I can see this being a regular weekly meal …..
Very satisfied!. I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt obliged to write this one after our wonderful experience yesterday. I’ve been to Cafe Zinho a couple of times and I wasn’t very impressed by the food in my previous experiences. Quite frankly, I’ve had the worst roasted duck there. BUT, the chef must have changed or he must have taken some culinary courses, because yesterday the food was AMAZING! so delicious, healthy, and well presented. So if you are not sure because of the previous reviews, I’d say give it another chance, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Cozy Place. My experience was fantastic. Really cool and cozy place just like some places in Brazil. Me and 2 friends were visiting Pittsburgh and it was really nice that we found Cafe Zinho. Our server was from Bulgari and we had a blast with her service!!! We laughing the entire night! It was a blast! The Brazilian Lady that controls the kitchen is awesome too! Can’t wait to go back this year!
