Nothing special.
Unfortunate choice dining at cappy’s,. Very poor service, ordered 3 hamburgers & grilled cheese sandwich. After 45 minutes, the sandwich arrived then after an hour the hamburgers arrived each many minutes apart. Sweet potato fries were charred. Burgers tasteless with no condiments brought to table. We politely asked about a problem in the kitchen but no explanation was given. We were charged full price and left a minimal tip with no plans to return. The waitress tried to smooth things over with a basket of pretzels and chips.
Looked like some great deals for a neighborhood bar. Pub trivia and some great thursday deals means I’ll be back.
Nothing special, but fun. If you’re looking for strong drinks and fast service, i’d go someplace else. however, the food is solid, the staff is so friendly, and sitting outside on a warm night on walnut is always nice, so there are definitely pros to cappy’s.
Went there on Thursday staff was friendly and food was amazing. Good prices too for Shadyside.
Great down to earth hole in the wall in what can be a pretentious neighborhood. Glad I stumbled upon it. Food was good enough. Drink prices were great and the staff and atmosphere were too.
Great value. This place has great food for a low price. It’s a great option if you’re looking for food on a budget while in this generally more expensive location.
