Stopped here for drinks on a Friday night. Nice atmosphere and drinks were good and well priced. Dart boards towards the back. Cool place to have a few and chill with friends.
It had been a while since we visited Ellsworth in Shadyside. This new burger joint sits next door to the popular Harris Grill. They have done an excellent job with the decor and outdoor seating area. After a few drinks on Walnut Street we walked down and stumbled upon this establishment. We had a party of six and the hostess did a nice job pulling a few tables together to accomodate us. We ordered a few apps and then filled out our burger card like you do at Burgatory. The fried pickles were flavorable, especially with the tangy sauce. The service was really good and the waitress was nice and prompt. I like the fact that other bar backs and waiters helped with the beer and water refills. The burgers were only average however. Not close to the standard of Burgatory, but decent enough. I would definitely recommend this place however due to the cool vibe, outdoor area, and wait staff. They also played very good music even though it was a little loud.

Tip the cow. Liked the Shadyside Saloon, Liked Stack’2, Liked The Ave, but I Love the Tipsy Cow. The Restaurant has been completely Remodeled and The food has been upgraded big time. The build your own Burger Menu is back, which is huge for me because I love customizing and creating. The Appetizers are fantastic for the last minute Shadyside food binge before having late night drinks with friends. Plenty of seating in the building so I can bring more than a few Acquaintances. The Restaurant is cozy and vintage themed. Reminds me of a chill lounge with burgers and wings. The George Washington Picture is hanging Right side up now, and on that point the employees are very accommodating and friendly. This is definitely the place to be if your exploring Ellsworth Ave.
Good spot. Good burgers, better quality than you would expect from a bar restaurant. The interior just went through a redesign and it feels cozy. Jamie the owner is a good guy and treats everyone who comes through well. One of the better places in Shadyside/Ellsworth/East Liberty area.
Such good food and atmosphere. I love the burgers here. They are exactly what you want in any burger. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and really makes me want to come back. It’s an amazing place!
Offended. As someone who has spent 15+ years in the marines, seeing a picture of our first president George Washington hung upside down was extremely offensive. You are NOT welcome for my service and I do not recommend others go there.
