The Gem & Keystone is an awesome hot spot in the Shawnee area. The beers are made at the brewery and are fantastic. The food is made from scratch, unique, and expertly done & presented. We went back 3 times in the weekend we stayed. The cheesesteak was one of the best we’ve ever had, the pretzels & cheddar ale dip was excellent! Definitely recommend this place- sit downstairs for a more relaxed, bar environment.

Poor place…..don’t be fooled by others…….food was horrible wings braised to death in some horrible sauce …….. Cheesesteak was salty and bun was stale ….. Beer was good ….. Was given a bottle of ketchup that was fermented and exploded all over me when opened ….. Hated this place…..
I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. I was expecting a good but average meal, but what I got was the best filet minion and crab cake I had ever had..they grill it with hardwood charcoal and the flavor really comes through in the steak. Cooked perfectly and tender as hell, you almost forget the crabcake is just a delicious. Service was great, and will definitely come back next time I’m in town.
Stopped in for lunch after the trolley ride and was pleasantly surprised at the variety on the menu. Good crafted beer, clean establishment. Had the grilled portebello mushroom sandwich. Awesome bread. Server was pleasant and knowledgable but place was a little busy for just her to handle. Beautiful location with nice outdoor seating. If it’s a nice day, take a stroll down to the river for a great view.
Service was quick, food was delicious. Drinks seem pricey. Mai Tai $9! Usually get em for about $5.
Sat in the pub for the beer tasting..try The VSOP ..its good. Service was great bartender was only waitstaff easily handled 6 tables..friendly. fast and informative
