Good Fresh Fare. We really enjoy going here for the food, which is very fresh and simple. The octopus is one of our favorites. It is a very small place and not known for it’s service. However if you’re looking for good fresh Greek fare it is a place to go.
Dissapointment. We were very excited to finally try this place out in Queen Village…one question, what’s all the rage? The place was packed, I couldn’t hear myself think nor the waitress taking our order, I was elbow to elbow between the wall and the person next to me..cramped, tired of the two hour wait, and starving I thought, at least we’ll look forward to an outstanding meal.Not so. I’m not picky…and I love it all…you can screw up the food but if the atmosphere if okay then I won’t complain, or you can screw up the atmosphere and have good food and still be okay…but you can’t screw both; and unfortunately on our night Dmitri’s fell short on the food and the atmosphere. The crisp, chilled greek salad was a welcome start but then we spiraled out of control. The octopus was very tough and rubberesque, the piripiri shrimp must have been frozen and far too overcooked (decent flavor though), and the fish was overpriced and overcooked. Unfortunately we also made a poor choice in wine to accompany the dinner, but our happy buzz from an hour or so of predinner waiting drinks was not enough to make Dmitri’s a hit. Won’t be back.

Awesome. I took a date here 15-16 years ago and got laid that night in my Gram-mom’s car afterwards. Bangin, son!!
Regular favorite place.. We love this tiny gem of a BYOB place. Grilled octopus with fresh herbs and vinagrette is a must. Spinach pie, which I love so much that I’m trying to replicate, is delicious. We have had grilled whole fish, the lamb, grilled vegetables, the mixed seafood linguine, all several times. We have never been dissapointed and is always worth the wait. Where else can you go across the street to have drinks at a bar while you wait and the waitress comes across the street to tell you that your table is ready? We love the buzz of the noise and closeness of the patrons, it is what the city is all about 🙂
Was there last nite the flounder was cooked perfectl.31 Mar, 2009Gone their a few times before tonite. Seafood always fresh and prepared well . I tried the lamb tonite and was not pleased, rather bland and to well dione. My friend had the grilled striped bass, it was perfect .
Great Food – If you an get in!. This place has the best food. Awesome seafood! The problem is it takes 1-2 hours to get a table. No reservations!
