The food is awesome but the service is very very bad….The workers there have no care in the world for the customers…it’s like they don’t want to be there working…my party sat at the bar and the bartender did not ask us if we wanted anything to drink..we had to approach the bartender…this is not something that customers should go through
Good food, slow service. It’s a good thing the food was fabulous, because the service was very,very slow. Catfish was fresh and very well prepared, mac and cheese was to die for and portions were generous! I will recommend this restaurant but advise to allow lots of time.
I’m not going to make this difficult. If you hit Philly up on occasion like I do. You shouldn’t leave town without stopping thru. Generous plates, good drinks and a sexy grown atmosphere.
LOVE AT EACH BITE. My son was home from the Marines for a visit, he had never been to Ms Tootsie’s and I had, I could not wait for him to experience it. Oh my it was even better than it was when I was there before. Our waiter Brandon was just exceptional, he is not only a great waiter but a people person. He thanked my son for his service to his country and although it was a little busy he never missed a beat in making sure all our needs were met. We were so full we decided not to have desert, but Brandon brought out a tray of deserts, we took desert home which was also amazing it was delicious, so not only is he a great waiter, but he is also great for business. I just can’t say enough about the food, the atmosphere and this young man who would be an asset to any establishment. Thank you so much for a great night out with my son, it is a night to remember.

Don’t come for a late night meal. Cam in at 12:30. Had to wait an hour for a seat. Kitchens closing so we order before we get a table. All the foods out. Not returning again.
We came to Ms. Tootsie’s because of a Living Social deal online. On Saturday night the wait for 2 people was 2 hours but you couldn’t make a reservation. We came back on Sunday afternoon & the wait was an hour & 15 minutes. Since we paid for the online deal, we decided to wait. After finally getting seated, we had to sit for 20 minutes before anyone even came by to take our drink order! Then, our waitress informed us that the Living Social deal doesn’t go into effect until tomorrow even though there is clearly no date stated on the voucher or the email. This food better be finger licking good or I’m going to have to count that $20 special as a loss. I’m pretty sure I will NOT be back.
