Disappointed. We’ve had several enjoyable dinners at Cafe and always look forward to going. We recently had a very disappointing lunch there, in which the server was in our opinion very rude and the food served to us was not hot or especially fresh tasting. This was an unpleasant experience, enough so that we will not return.
I love it. Their lunch special is awesome. I probably eat here at least once a week, you just need to know what to order. Thai food is my favorite and cafe de laos is the best in the Philadelphia area hands down.
Slowest and worst service yet. The food was less than satisfactory, and promptly upon leaving we went straight to La Lupe down the road for some good food. If it were possible to rate this resturaunt at negative one thousand stars, I would. A— would not eat again.
Something was missing. My boyfriend and I will admit we’re Thai food snobs, so maybe this place would be okay for a casual Thai diner. But we both agreed the flavors left something to be desired.
Mediocrity at most. Went there the other night with two friends; enjoyed the atmosphere yet tasted nothing that pleased. The vegetable spring rolls were a greasy mess of nothing but heat. The girl on fire cornish hen arrived with fanfare yet lacked both texture and flavor. The papaya salad’s only flavor was the fish paste, while the massamam curry’s coconut was barely distinguishable. What a total waste of time and calories. Wish we had gone to Nam Phuong right across the street.
