DELICIOUS! I went for the first time this week and loved my experience. The outdoor seating is lovely and romantic for a date. The food was all very delicious! My boyfriend and I split an appetizer of crostinis with pork, Brie and apple butter and the eggplant entree, both of which were fantastic! We finished the meal off with a warm raspberry tart which was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Cafe Du Jour – Great Little Place. What a find. While strolling down Carson St. We looked in the window and saw the dining courtyard. Upon returning, we had dinner and was not disappointed. The entire (3-person) staff were most friendly along with a very pleasing atmosphere. We recommend this place very highly!

Consistently Good. Cafe Du Jour never disappoints. Have been going for years and never had a complaint. Alway good, innovative dishes at a fair price. Best part is they are BYOB. Small seating area, so get reservations. Outside seating during summer. Cash only. Check out the rating; very few restaurants in Pittsburgh can boast a 94%. A must try.

Delicious. Brought our friends and everyone was very impressed with our meals. We will return.

This is the best food in Pittsburgh prepared by the most creative chef in the city. We have dined at Paul’s table in excess of 50 times, and do not express such hyperbole lightly.

One Wonderful Surprise After Another. Wonderful surprises await the patron at Cafe Du Jour! Once you are through its small but quaint entrance, where the counter, similar to that of an old delicatessen, has three to four chefs at work, preparing your meal, you are greeted by your server. Friendly, knowledgeable and articulate, our server in August made us feel at home by relating to us in a casual and comfortable demeanor, ready to assist in our any need. We sat at an iron table for two in the garden near a small fish and turtle pond, amongst the fresh herbs, flowering foliage, and subtle statuary. Vines and overhanging trees cover the rustic walls, and, as we were served scrumptious, perfectly portioned delights in a garden of only five other small tables, I felt like I could be in the residential piazza of a Mediterranean villa! The food! The food! Oh, my….I took a chance on watermelon gazpacho; I’d never had cold or fruit soup before nor do I like my food too spicy. It was light and perfectly seasoned as one could never tell it was melon, but as fruit often tastes best, it was topped with seeds and goat cheese to perfect palatable earthiness. Sinfully delicious. My husband had the clear, assorted mushroom soup and upon insistence that I taste his before I judge mine the better, I agreed it was a delightful tie. The appetizers and salads – all just the right size to keep you wanting the next course without wondering what you just tasted and too bad there isn’t more! – were fresh and harmonic in blend. Pumpkin cheesecake was divine -light, lush, and simple – and not like that of other cheecakeries. Yet, as it should be, the meal was a wonderful combination of tastes that complemented one another – fresh side dishes that tasted as though my portion was not one of several from a gigantic bowl or steamer tray. My husband’s steak was cooked just as he liked it and could have been cut with his fork.. I hope that when I return, I can order the stuffed eggplant; I’ve had it no place else that can make my favorite vegetable so delicately – no heavy oils or sauces, no thick packing like a veggie canoli. The price, considering our BYOB, was still so much less than we expected…..to have five courses in peaceful ambiance, great service, and delectable cuisine, my husband and I could have asked no more for our anniversary!
