Went as a group of 4 on a whim. Good beer selection. Wanted to love the food. There was a Poutine Special and it was the best thing that we ate- the flavor of the gravy was unreal and I hope that they keep it around. Next came the Mac and cheese. Was supposed to be a jalapeo Mac, but it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. We ate it because we were hungry, but totally flavorless. Then the duck confit tacos. The meat was delicious, but the corn tortilla texture was very bad- stiff and uncooked. The tortilla was cold and I’m not sure if it was an oversight that they were not cooked to help soften the texture or if that was the intended presentation. Now comes the Korean short ribs. Big let down. Flavorless. They did have bits of chili sauce garnishing the plate which we used for dipping-Otherwise the dish would have been a total loss. Hope to see improvement because the space and decor are really lovely and rustic. Slightly bordering on an identity crisis though. Seems to have an Irish vibe at the bar and a Louisiana vibe on the menu and dining area decor.
We had heard about this place from friends. I had mixed reviews but that’s Pittsburgh! We tried it out and I must say this place is Amazing! From the Apps to the cocktails from the funny guy that works the front door this is a place more people should be paying attention too!

Great Atmosphere. Great food. Excellent Scotch.. My wife and I ate her last Friday night. We arrived around 6:30 PM and we were seated immediately. The place was full about 1/2 later. They don’t take reservations but they are on the NoWait app.I started with Macallan 12 year scotch. My wife isn’t a drinker so she had a diet Coke. We ordered the cheese and meet appetizer. It was served on a wooden board and the presentation was excellent. There was 3 different cheeses and 3 different meats as well as nuts and vegetables and bread. It was all fresh and very good. For dinner, I order the local lamb chops and I was not disappointed. They were cooked perfectly and were served in a metal plate/bowl with fresh tabouli. My wife had the shrimp bisque which was excellent and the mac and cheese which was also excellent.The atmosphere is fantastic and they have one of the most extensive liquor selections I have ever seen. They also have a good beer and wine selection.I would highly recommend this place.
My wife and I enjoyed this unique location for its friendly staff, distinctive decor and interesting menu. We were up for just a light meal so we had a couple small plates. I enjoyed a decent bowl of chili and my wife and I shared the sausage plate and the beet salad. We didn’t bring the kids this time but we can see coming back with them. (More kid compatible than kid friendly.) Some reviewers called place pretentious but I like the hipster vibe. We will be back.
Perfect evening out in Pittsburgh. I love the vibe in this place, it is warm and cozy. The decor is amazing and the lighting is perfect, there was a lot of attention to the small details. I moved to Pittsburgh a few years ago and this is absolutely the kind of place I want to regularly hang out. Pittsburgh needs a place like this. I cant tell you how overjoyed I was to have dinner with my friends without sports playing in the background. The staff is very sweet and kind and was more than happy to answer numerous questions about the menu. Ill admit I wasnt exactly sure what I was ordering but that was part of the fun. My drinks were amazing and my food was even better. Everything I tried was prepared perfectly and was melt in your mouth good. Overall Ill say my experience here was perfect and lovely. This is a place ill be proud to take my out of town guests. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
Meh. The food was good I must admit, but the overall atmosphere was pretentious. My date and I both said that you couldn’t relax and be yourself. Would I go here for a special occasion? Sure. But for any given day the portions are extremely small and the menu looks like a grocery shopping list. Be prepared to eat with pinkies out.
