Yuck!. This bar is located inside a beautiful old bank building. It’s a total waste of the space though. Inside, you have a dirty yinzer bar FILLED with smoke. We were there for a fundraiser on Friday night & we had to leave after 15 minutes because our eyes were burning from the smoke. How this place is allowed to serve food & let people smoke is beyond me. I could not have been less impressed with this hole in the wall. We left & went to The Urban Tap, where we could BREATHE & had a few beers before dinner. I would NEVER go back to the Carson City Saloon.
Factual — spent $300 here in 2 hours. Upon leaving was not allowed to use restroom at 1:45pm. Will not come back.
The best of south side! Best food, drinks, and service!!! Everyone is pleasant and there is always a great atmosphere!!! If you’ve never been here you’re missing out!!! This is by far the BEST bar in the south side!!
Great Sports Bar!. Carson City is great place from every angle. The wing night on Mondays is always a good time. The service here has always been superb. I usually get a nice girl named Tracy who is excellent and very attentive. She really runs and is a great asset to that place. If I had a bar I’d definately want her as an employee! They have a new roof top deck which I hear is nice, just haven’t been there when the weather has been warm enough to sit up there. I’ll save that for a later review when the weather warms up!
It’s a bar…Fun Place to Watch the game. Stopped by to watch the Steeler game. Fun place and crowded but we were early and were able to get a table. Large selection of beers and specials during the game. Shared a few appetizers and some were pretty good and same were so..so.
UCK!. Ok…..if you like hair…yours, others, even the cooks, you’ll love this place! On a cold and energetic night in February five innocent women arrived at the Carson Shitty *City* Saloon. And this is where the story begins…we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip (we assumed it was a classic dip and a pretty standard and safe order) WRONG! It was bad, you need a spoon…well if the server decides she will give you one…it tasteless…it has the texture of water (YUM!) and it was served with the lame cop-out of tortilla chips (hate it when places do this!!!) We sent it back after feeling jerky for not liking it. So we tried to have it replaced with BBQ Chicken Dip again creatively served with a side of tortilla chips….and hair. Apparently they forgot to pluck the chicken…or their eyebrows or god knows where that hair came from! This was turning out to be a lose lose situation…..I won’t go…but I could for days. Just don’t waste your time. If you do take an extra coat…the server lacks such service…in which they are unable to receive tips….and there for can’t even afford a decent outfit to wear.
The worst.. Bad food. Bad service. Bad beer. No originality or creativity. Has as much personality as a fraternity basement. The sin of it is that its housed in a gorgeous, grand old building that should be used for something nice – a classy restaurant, a brewpub, a wine bar etc. – not for the most generic sports bar I’ve ever seen.
